That was by far my hardest pill to swallow. And life made sure of it.
When you’re a kid you’re told to do good and good things will happen to you.


Then you find out that in the great randomness if life your seat at any table is never guaranteed.
You can do it all and do it well. And things will choose not to go your way.


It’s pointless to say “but I was good”.
As it is useless to afraid of failure, because that fear usually comes from a fear of not being enough.
Except one thing does not prove the other.
You can be enough and fail or not be enough and get lucky.
