If you suddenly came into a shitload of money, maybe a billion or two, would it change you or would you be the same person but with lots of money?

I would be, VERY annoyed at first...

tax brackets can be really stupid and annoying, lol

but anyway... after that I would be pretty much the same I am, in essence but my life would change a little bit, at least for some years... it would only take a few millions for me to go travel around the world and experience other parts of the world and people as well for some years... this is something I plan to do later in life maybe, but life changing money would probably speed it up to NOW

the vast majority of the two billion, I really don't need them, so I would dedicate them to a couple of causes that do mean a lot to me

instead of working for a living... I would manage that much money, to improve the lives of many, who really need it way more than me

I don’t have billions… I do have the among that I earned to the level I am at that I am too 5%.
it has changed me in ways that I have enough and I am donating to others. I still have my job and dress modest.

If I understood you correctly, that's about all that'd change with me, too. I'm always trying to help others. It sucks, though, when they won't LET you help them or even try to. Especially if they're someone that means A LOT to you.

I am cautious with whom I donate to.
I love my children, care a lot about them.
they know we have money at this point, they also know they have to earn it. Same goes to those we donate to.

Hubby has a very very kind heart and just wants to give… but I draw the line between enabling and helping.

Yeah, ya can't just give it away to anybody. You might give it to someone that talks a good game but then you find out, they'd use it for drugs or what have you. Kinda like that broad that started blm and all the money donated to her got used to buy a dozen million dollar mansions that SHE now owns!!
NONE oof that money got used for its intended purpose!!

Exactly. If I can ever get some, I have some ideas of plans I want to do with this house. In fact, if I can get enough, I'd LOVE to go to the people that own MY house, now and buy it back off of them so I can be back where I belong and where mom intended I be!!! The biggest things I want, right now are MY house back the money to be able to keep it for the rest of my life and my sweet, wonderful "wife" living there with me and our kids!! If I had that, I'd be SOOOOO INCREDIBLY HAPPY!!!
