How many of you think this statement is true/false?

I was told this once by a friend after I told her I was starting to like a guy who's black and it really got me thinking. Before that, I never saw myself possibly dating a black guy. Only because I didn't find them all that attractive and now I'm noticing more guys that are black and how attractive they are and whatnot . . .

But I mainly am wondering what you guys/girls think of that statement and how many of you think it's true or false. Or if it's just something that people say and just gets to your head to make you think that way.

That stereotype was made to be referred to their size. People have been joking about this for years in movies and shows. Remember the movie "White Chicks"?. The white girl slept with the black guy and ended up in a wheel chair because she couldn't walk anymore LOL. I think the statement is false and could be used for any race. "Once you go white, you see the light" I don't think that you meant it in that way and guy's from different race's have different qualities so it just means that there are things about black guys that you seem to like more. FYI : I'm not white so I didn't mean anything by my statement except to make a point.

I actually didn't mean it in the way... I meant the statement to be more of a 'once you date a black guy/girl, you realize you don't like white guys/girls the same' or however you want to take that as. I don't really know how to word it to make enough sense.

I know you didn't mean it in that way. Black guys have certain qualities and there is nothing wrong with you liking them more. I can tell you that they are funny as hell though. I will tell you that there are are good and bad in every race. You had a really good experience with a black guy but that doesn't mean that they are all like that so just be careful. I totally understand where you are coming from so don't take some of the answers and comments seriously :)

Lol yeahhh it's definitely true for me...My first serious boyfriend was black and ever since then I can't stop noticing how fine they are. Don't get me wrong I would never pass up a good white boy but I just find myself looking at black guys more. The last two guys I've been with were mixed (black and white) and I find them so sexy :p lol Mixed boys are just so cute :)

Maybe just give him a call and if he doesn't answer just leave a voice mail saying hey and asking how he's doing. Make it simple and don't seem too clingy. Does he live close to you?

I'm not clingy at all so that shouldn't be a problem. He lives almost an hour away which that could also be a factor for why he's been this way.

Hades: No offense, but 90% of the guys that I've met that are white turned out to be ass'. So yeah. And the other 10% turned out to be shy like me, and were actually raised to treat women right...

Hades is a hater and can't see the forest through the trees. Most black guys are taught to respect women because in black families the women pretty much run the house. You ever talk back to your mama or gamma in a black house and you're getting your assssssss whiped.

I've had two black gf's. Now if someones skin color is black it really marks off my interest in them because it reminds me of past experience.

I realize it's completely racist, but it really doesn't apply to anything except who I'm attracted too.

Is it only for black guys or just black people in general? Anyway, I think the only people who put that out there are girls that are mostly, if not only, attracted to black guys or just black guys themselves.

I was mainly talking white girls/guys that never saw themselves liking black girls/guys before and then that one person comes along and they start liking them and so then they start noticing that there are black girls/guys out there that pull the attraction too (or however you want to put it).

Sorry if that's confusing. I had trouble figuring out how to word it right.

I assume that you are just really attracted to them now based on your last comment under anony girl. That's something people say to justify their attraction. They're are many women of various ethnicities that would probably say the opposite because they are attracted to white guys. It's not necessary. You're attracted to black guys. That's it. No bs needs to be included.

And I asked because I dated a black girl, and I've gone back. lol but I've never been in the mindset you described.

Okay, I am attracted to them, but I'm not one of them people that would only go for black guys now. I still see white guys as attractive also. I was just saying that I've never seen myself attracted to a black/mixed guy before until this one guy came along and then suddenly I started noticing how attractive some of them are... that's all.

That is exactly what people say to justify their attraction. You can find the same exact comments about other races of guys on this website. None of that is race dependent at all. I'm just trying to get you to see that.
