Is it true that if you drink vodka and gatorade, it is bad for you?

i have never heard this before tonight but one of my friends was saying it was bad for you to mix the two...is that true?

Never tried it, but it sure sounds like one of those made up things that circulates around the Internet.

There's no reason it would be bad for you. Gatorade is really just flavoured water, and vodka is strong alcohol. As long as you don't over-do it with either/both it should be any different than mixing vodka with juice.

Something like Red Bull is a different case, since that has a lot of caffeine, which may or may not be bad to mix with alcohol.

not sure about gatorade but I heard vodka and red bull will make you vomit your intestines inside out! no joke. I wouldn't try it. gatorade has chemicals and electrolytes in it like red bull has and it might do the same

Lol no. Gatorade is filled with water which helps level out your sobriety. Of course its not enough to make you be able to drink whatever you'd like. It just helps hydrate you.

Vodka is not terribly good for you. Mixing the two doesn't cause any additional harm. If you're going to drink a lot of vodka maybe have some gatorade or water before bed to help with the dehydration you'll probably get by morning.

sounds too sweet for me but otherwise no big deal. no worse than any other mixer. I am not a health expert however.

Gatorade is Water, Sucrose, and electrolytes. Whoever is telling you not to mix them is an idiot.

Not that I am aware of. But I usually drink bourban but I have mixed other booze with gatorade and nothing bad happened
