What do guys think about girls who smoke weed?

Question

I smoke pot a lot.  I smoke alone sometimes and get very creative, I like to write songs and poetry and just enjoy nature.  I also enjoy social smoking, but I don't do any other drugs. No pill popping, coke, and I reall don't drink a lot either.  So you could say marijuana is my only vice.  I guess you could say I'm a hippie, I'm smart and not like a dumb stoner or anything...So is this a turn on or turn off. I'm aware that there are some who are against marijuana, but what do most guys think?

Why post bull**** if you have no clue what you're talking about? It really makes looking at forums kinda suck. Anyway, getting high on marijuana is not comparable at all to running a marathon. It does not have the same affect on your brain or any other part of your body, for that matter. Marijuana binds to proteins in many cells throughout your body. Since you consume so many THC molecules compared to other drugs...say like 2.5mg of a pure prescription drug...it takes longer to 'break down' all of the consumed substance. Also, it takes a bit longer to 'break down' the THC molecule because it is pretty big(C20H30O2 compared to dextrose{sugar}, C6H12O6), so not as many processes can occur in the brain at any given time. When a person smokes entirely too much, simply being stoned all day causes them to seem less intelligent because of the expansive lack of stimulation to the brain; so they just get used to not talking, or just talking less. Also, THC builds up in the body and, therefore, is always circulating through the blood; this is because it is soluble in fat and cells consume fat when they don't receive nutrients via the liver or various membranes throughout the body. If someone smokes a lot every day, they will have a much bigger store of THC in their body, causing less potential brainpower to be able to be used...because the proteins will always be working more slowly.

Some people get creative when they're high simply because of what stimulates interest in them. If they like thinking and have a decent amount of knowledge of what they're thinking about, smoking marijuana slows the thinking process to a point where the interest in the person consumes all available brainpower. Sensory nerves, such as sight, can be basically disregarded if necassary...which allows much more vivid detail when imagining things. So just don't be a lazy, useless person and weed will not make you seem less intelligent.

The moral of the story...I think it's really interesting that you are a girl and you smoke alone sometimes. I don't know any girls that do that besides my ex girlfriend and she was just a sh**ty person. If you really are intelligent and at least a little attractive, I would think you could find a really good guy. That's the only kind of girl available for me because I can't really quit smoking at the moment...for various reasons. I really need to be with an intelligent person now, but my options are limited because smart girls don't really go for the weed thing. So, basically, I think how you described yourself would be very desirable to better quality guys that also smoke. But who knows how many are out there...

I'm pretty much the same way you are actually. Weed is a lot of fun, to be perfectly honest. I don't drink that often, but my friends drink much more than they smoke so I usually drink with them on the weekends or whatever. I smoke whenever really, usually at night after homework but I'm taking drawing right now so sometimes before that class just to kinda get the creativity flowing.

I don't do anything beyond weed or drinking, although salvia or shrooms might be on the horizon some time (4/20...?) I'll never do anything else though. I'm not stupid either, I'm a physics major (yeah, tons of fun...haha) and I'd say weed is my only vice as well.

I don't like smoking tobacco, but I wouldn't really care if you did it. Weed is fine by me, especially if you're getting creative afterward (I like art). If I knew you I'd say let's go smoke right now and have an adventure in the forest then draw and write poems or something, that would be awesome.

Same here! BUT I used to pop pills and drink a lot but for about 2 years now I've been smoking pot up like crazy. It's relaxing and just awesome. Like people who don't smoke pot think there smarter and faster and blah blah blah. I truthfully believe that people who smoke pot are the one's who tend to be faster,smarter etc. Don't hate it untill you try it! CANNABIS IS NOT ILLEGAL! Doctors use it all the time. All the guys I've been with have had no problem with it but I guess it really depends on who your with and there morals.

I neither drink nor smoke, because I like to to keep my mind revvin' properly. I just found out my girlfriend smokes, after knowin' her for like 14 months (datin' 6). I knew she drank a bit. Made me uncomfortable, but fine. She wasn't forthcomin' about the weed tho. I ask if she had been she's like "Maybe", "Kinda". I'm like, "Just give me a yes or no. It's just a question." Says she had smoked but doesn't smoke much. That she didn't tell me she smoked in the first place bothers me but whatevs.

What really bothers the sh*t outta me is that she hasn't told me anything about the weed or how she gets it. This supplier and their product could be "harmless", but they could be a threat to her. Her not tellin' me just makes me neurotic and causes my mind to wander.

Also, in retrospect and including this time in question, times I thought she was a tad tipsy, I now think she was high. Each of those times, she was unusually horny. Doesn't sound like a problem, does it? Well, she doesn't GET high AROUND me and probably doesn't meet up with me until she feels it's comin' down and wants to get her rocks off. I don't much like the idea of my partner bein' horny and less inhibited with some person(s) I know jacksh*t about. I trust her, but bein' high lends into to poor life decisions and potentially dangerous situations.

I f***in' hate drugs. Uuuugh.

SUMMATION:

*Be forthcoming about it.

*Be upfront about what kind of weed it is and who supplies it.

*Be conscious of what effects it has on you and who you smoke around.

It's a huge turn on. I smoke pot everyday. It's funny too because most people will see that and be like "everyday, that guy is a loser." But don't worry I'm not I've had a full time job since I was 19 so forget about it. I love to smoke alone, I can relax sit back maybe listen to some music, or turn on the history channel and get my learn on. But social smoking is far much better, if your with the right group you can have some pretty diverse conversations.  All in all I would say that people like us are the hippie's of our generation. All the answers on here suck, weed won't kill you, make you a bad person or a loser, as long as you have your priories straight you can smoke as much as you want, just don't smoke before school or work, around family if they are against it.  If you smoke weed everyday you will have far less negative side affects than if you get drunk everyday. Weed has never made anyone throw up blood or cause any sort of poisoning.  American youth of today are raised to believe weed is heroin or at least as deadly.  I think girls that smoke are sexy but of course I don't judge people on wether or not they smoke weed, maybe if some if you mother fkers took a couple hits you'd chill the f*** out and accept people for who they ar. Definitely a turn on. But that's me.. I smoke a lot too, alone and with people. I love writing, playing, listening, pretty much anything musical when I'm high too. For most guys tho its going to come down to whether or not they smoke, and if not, how much time you spend doing smoking related activities versus spending time with him. So if your dating someone who doesn't smoke you might have to cut back a bit, but that's about it.

I smoke, but only on the weekends after a night of drinking or if I have nothing to do all day.  I never let it interfere with my schoolwork, etc. ..so as long as it didn't make you do that I'd be fine with it.  I'd actually like a girl who I could hang out with and smoke.

Big turn off. Some of my close friends smoked weed when we were teenagers and continued it into adulthood. Now at our age their brains are fried. It is unhealthy for your entire body including your lungs, your heart and your brain. I am not attracted to women who engage in unhealthy habits although it might be forgivable if they are trying to quit. When you say you are smart, I would have to differ with you on that. If you are smart you will quit.

Turn off here...the general trend I have seen with (daily) pot smokers is that they don't reach their goals.  The act of smoking in itself doesn't matter but the correlating trait does.

I currently am dating one who smokes it. I won't partake in it but I also will not not date her because she does it. It's how she treats me that matters, not what she does in her spare time. I think smoking weed is a major turn on in your case. I say that because you are not letting the smoking interfere with your priorities. Guys will see that as you get your work done but you can also have fun, if the guy doesn't see that they are blinded by their hatred of the drug.
