Is it true that men find women who play an instrument attractive?

I was watching various music pieces on YouTube, played on different instruments to see how different they would sound.

One one harp video, someone joked that the votes down were by boys who couldn't get a talented girlfriend and people wrote things like 'I wish you were my girlfriend' etc.

There are similar comments for other instruments.

Not as a particular rule or anything. People playing instruments can appear to have more poise, but generally I think these are just guys commenting about someone having a high level of skill and being a woman. It's like a default compliment on YouTube. On the Japanese video website Nico Nico, guys see videos of real females AND virtual ones and profess their love or state "marriage proposals" for them in much the same way.

I see. Thank you. I think it is attractive when someone has a certain skill though, rather than just watching TV and playing games in their spare time lol

Well playing games can be considered a skill too, if you do it really well. but I agree with you on the TV watching! lol

That alone isn't going to do it, but yes I do appreciate music. I love the piano, so that's always bonus points if a girl is passionate about that... There are other pursuits I find interesting as well, so long as she's pursuing them for her own interest... Just having a resume of skills isn't attractive, but watching someone pour their emotions into the keys of a piano or into the strokes of a paint brush is intriguing. =)

I think that the passion behind playing the instruent is more attractive than merely playing it. This also goes for why girls like guys who can play a musical instrument. Just knowing someone is good at something and also loves to do it is attractive to me.
