Telling a cashier or any other random girl she's really cute?

So occassionally if I see a cute girl who's working at a boring job like McDonald's or something I'll just randomly be like you're so cute like right when she hands me my change. I'll only say this if it's true but I like to see how it kind of just brightens their day a little bit.I've yet to have a girl be like yeah you're pretty cute yourself but I really don't ever expect them to. What do girls think about this? I consider myself as a pretty average looking guy if that matters any.

A girl will most likely never respond with a compliment to something like that. But first let me just say that, as long as you're respectful in the delivery (which it sounds like you are), we LOVE that kind of thing. You can gauge a girls' interest in you based on how long she reacts to the compliment (often) so lets say she smiles but doesn't really meet your eyes (low interest), now lets say she smiles, says thank you or something else, looks you in the eyes, and asks you a question or says something else to keep the conversation going. bingo. she likes you a bit or is intrigued. doesn't mean she'll go out with you necessarily (girls I know hardly ever go on dates with guys they have just met one time) but it's definitely the kind of reaction you want to get. good luck!

yea that's a nice way to make someones day! I would love that and I'm sort of a cashier lol! (retail) as long as you're not too aggressive in asking for my number and stuff and hit on me every time you're in the store, just keep it friendly

I think its better to just act really friendly and flirt then if they are flirting back just say "thanks cutie" or throw it in there subtley. Not just stating "Your cute!"
