I'm 32 and he's 24...problematic?

Ok, so I have been hanging out with a 24-year old and I am 32 years old. He seems more mature for his age than other guys I have met but who knows. We like each other so what do I do? I fear that I might really start to like him but if we ever reached a point of having a relationship, he might be too immature for it. Thoughts? Is his age problematic?

Ok girl I'm in a similar situation lol. I'm 30 and he's 24. He has no filter and says what's on his mind. I love it!.. Have you ever had converstions about his past experiences? you know like if he just got out of a relationship or has he been single for a while? my guy was with a girl for 4 years and she broke up with him and she was 2 years older then him. He has enjoyed himself for the past year lol, and has metioned that he's into down to earth girls and not the shallow ones. But I think you should try to get an idea about his past dating situations. I've been playing it really cool with this guy and because he's younger than me, good looking, and was hurt b4. Its hard to play it cool when I know what I want but I don't want to scare him away. At the same time I am not going to sleep with him either. I want to try to show him that I'm fun to be with and would be great in a relationship with him but I'm gonna give him a little time to figure that out.

I used to think age is nothing but a number. When I started dating my ex, he was 23 and I was 27, I didn't think anything of it. He was very mature, responsible, manly-man, etc. We had a good 5 years together, until he cheated on me and broke up with me to be with other girls. I think being so young, he wasn't able to experience being with other girls. I, of course, wanted to marry the guy. We talked about it, too. But, eventually, I don't think he had a fair comparison of life to make that decision to marry. He only had one serious relationship before me. All his friends are single, so it was tempting for him when they would go out. Yes, he was mature and responsible, but he didn't have enough "play time" to want another type of commitment. The age difference plays a factor because I'm assuming you'd want different things out of the relationship.

I don't think it's problematic. Age is just a number. For a while when I was 18, although I'm not proud of it, I dated a guy that was 32... Although the relationship didn't go anywhere at all, there was definitely a personal connection between us. It really wasn't the highest point in my teen years, but my point is, if you have or feel a personal connection, the age difference doesn't matter. I have friends whose parents have 20 year age gaps, or sometimes more. If you look at other relationships with less of a gap, a lot of the time they split up due to immaturity, so levels of maturity don't necessarily pay mind to age. If you like him, go for it :)

Nope, it isn't a problem. I've dated with a larger gap than that before and my parents have been happily married for almost 40 years, and my dad is 11 years my mom's senior. If there's compatibility, there's compatibility. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
