We met at work, where we became really good friends. We traded numbers and never really talked outside of work when one day out of the blue he sends me a text asking when we were going on a date. I thought he was messing with me and asked if he was serious or messing with me. He said "I'm serious". I told him if he was serious then yea, I would go. Well nothing else was said for a couple of weeks, until another guy showed some interest in me. Justin got all jealous and worked up. Saying "U want me to tell him to back off? I'll tell him to back off." Then later on that night (while at work) while on a break we wound up outside alone. He looked at me and said " You're a beautiful girl Jennifer, and I want to take you on a date."
We talked and set up some "ground rules" I guess. I am coming out of an 11 year relationship/marriage, and have a 4 year old little girl. He said the kid situation made him a little nervous. And I told him that she had a daddy. I wasn't looking for a new one. I wasn't looking for someone to take care of us. All I was looking for was someone to be there for me. I told him that this is the first time I've even considered seeing someone other than my ex. (who I had been with since I was 16), and I HAVE NO IDEA what I am doing. We both said we are NOT looking for a "Serious" relationship. And I'm Really not. But I'm really digging this guy.
I guess my question is, is the age difference too much? 7 years. Not to mention the fact that Girls mature faster than guys. I've known him for right at 6 months. We work the 10 hour grave yard shift and spend about 1/2 of each night alone together. And we are not jumping into anything, we agreed that we will do the whole "Get to know each other and see how it goes" route. I just wanted some opinions.
