Girls: what if you found out your boyfriend wore lifts?

how would you react would you make fun of him or what like if he was around 5ft5/5ft6 but put lifts in his shoes to make him 5ft7/5ft8 I know it's not tall but still closer to average.coz I found out my boyfriend wears lifts

Well it would turn me off not because he was short ( I love short guys) but because he is so insecure in himself that he wears lifts. I dated this guy who was about 5'7'' and he was gorgeous and I was a little taller than him. I used to never wear heals because I didn't want him to feel insecure about his height then one day he was like 'why don't you ever wear heals' and I explained to him that I didn't want to be taller and he said that he loves that I'm taller because it makes him look good that he can get a girl that's taller and sexy and he's short. So confidence is everything. I loved that perspective - it was funny and self confident and was complimentary to me all at the same time.

So basically yeah it would bother me. If you like the guy and the height thing doesn't matter to you why don't you boost (yeah I said it) his confidence and that way maybe he can put the old inserts aside and be comfortable with who he is.

It's fine, people get plastic surgery all the time or mini surgery like laser hair removal, strech mark etc etc

Ppl dye their hair. wax their body hair, paint their nails etc etc

We are not born the way we wish to be and if that makes him feel comfortable, it's fine. I don't fall in love with people just for appearance. People fight their insecurities in diff ways and if that's the only way he is dealing with it, I'd say it's perfectly fine.

On the other hand, people have diff tolerance level, so it all depends on your decision, do you mind?

I don't make fun of ppl, there is no reason to make fun of anyone because neither of us is perfect so weshould not condescend.

I wear lifts and my ex never noticed as far as I know. Although I'm a bit taller at 5'9, 5'11 with lifts. Considering most girls wear makeup I don't see how they could have a problem with it. Tall people are at an advantage in all social situations, from dating to interviews, why shouldn't your boyfriend try to reduce that difference? I seriously don't think you should even mention it as its obviously something he is insecure about.

I'd dump him while laughing at him then tell my gal pals so we can laugh at him together. Though I find it highly unlikely I wouldn't be aware a guy wears lifts as per my dating standards I know the height of the guys barefoot on the first meeting.

If you're the it seems typical adoring girlfriend and his height makes no difference in your feelings or attraction to him then it's probably suited not to mention the lifts as it likely he's insecure about his height.

It might seem silly to other people but a short person wearing lifts is no different than someone using concealer to hide a spot or wearing clothing that flatters their figure.
