If a girl continuously spends money on a guy does that mean she has control over him?

I asked a question a few days ago about a girl who spends money on me. This girl is known to be a player and manipulative. She is also known for flirting with guys in order to get them to spend money on her (possible goldigger). However, whenever we go out as a group this girls always spends money on me. For dinner she spends money on me, when we go to a bar or a club she will spend money on me. One time when we all went out to the mall she wanted to spend money on a pair of jeans and sneakers for me.

One of the girls on here said that this girl spending money on me meant she has control and ownership over me. Is this true?

And is playing a different role with you (because of that reason).

The guys she doesn't care much for, she leads them on and gets them to spend a lot of money on her.

The guy(s) that she does care for, she invests her own money and time on them/him.

But she flirts with guys all the time. Even when I'm there. She is always flirting with guys who spend money on her (probably so they can spend more money than her). If she genuinely likes me she has a funny way of showing it. I can't help but think this is all part of some devious plan.

I really don't think so. Some girls are just very flirtatious in nature. Think about it, if she didn't like you she would be trying to empty your pockets (like she's doing to everyone else), not emptying hers. It makes no logical sense, other than she likes you (but obviously, isn't great at showing it besides spending).

I think its kinda weird that she's willing to spend SO MUCH money on you, but a girl spending for a guy definitely doesn't mean she has power over him! Times are changing and girls just wanna do something nice for you guys, wants to split the appreciation, it doesn't mean anything more than kindness

Given the fact that you said she can be a player and manipulative, she very well could be buying you things as a means of control. If you hadn't mentioned her reputation, I would have said she's just trying to impress you.

It's hard to say without any more details, but go with your gut.

My gut is telling me to not get sucked in. To always be alert because this girl is up to something major. But why would a girl who manipulates guys and gets them to spend money on her then want to spend her money on me?

I really don't know...I don't know her psyche. If your gut is telling you that something is up, then something may very well be up.
