What does it mean when a man says 'You're my medicine...'.

CONTEXT: I've been seeing a guy who's on a break from his girlfriend. He says he loves her, but doesn't want to take her back yet because they have too many issues. For one she doesn't clean the house, cook or do any domestic things (but that's improving) and also doesn't want intimacy much. So, as a friend, I told him to work on it...but he seems to just be enjoying the lust between us (which is fine, I enjoy it too)...but why wouldn't he just work on it with her - I mean, if he LOVES her...why the delay?

And why or how am I his medicine?...I don't get some peoples definition of love..to me , I couldn't f*ck another person if I still loved someone...it would feel heartless somehow...maybe he loves her in a different way?...weird...

Break from his girlfriend? Why would you wanna be with a guy who has a girlfriend even if they are on a break? If he goes back to her, he won't be with you later anyways or if he does, he'll be cheating on his girlfriend. What's the point? Though you just wanna screw him and that's it? Eh.. I don't get that either tbh. But I guess if that's what you wanna do.

And does he do any of the domestic things or does he expect the woman to do all the work? If they both work real jobs then both should be responsible of the home duties. But if one works and the other doesn't, then ya, the one who doesn't work at a paying job should take care of the domestic duties. I really just wonder how worthwhile this guy is. I can understand intimacy problem though. It sucks she's like that.

As for your context, I think it means you're more someone he feels more intimate with than his girlfriend atm. Or someone that helps him feel better from all the crap he's had to deal with in regards to her. Maybe it means he's falling for you, maybe it just means he appreciates you. Hard to say without knowing the guy.

Hey Leto! Honestly? Because I hadn't had sex in a year, and I was physically attracted to him in a big way...

I can honestly say that I just want to enjoy the sex...i guess once you are away from it for a while, you appreciate it all the more! 'Wakes you up' inside!

He does all the domestic work. They both work.

Hah, I know about not having sex for a long period of time, I just don't focus on it :P I rule my urges, they don't rule me.

And that's sh*t, she should share in the domestic work if they both work :\ same goes for any guy that thinks he can come home and be lazy and expects his working gf/wife to do the house work cause "tradition"

But it's good if you both appreciate each other and know what you're both in for. But I hope you don't help him cheat if he gets back with her fully.

I would never 'help' him cheat. That's his choice if he does. And my choice to partake if I did - which I wouldn't. Besides. I feel it's run it's course. We had our fun. Time for him to face his problems and sh*t.

Sorry, I don't understand your answer...don't do what? We've already had sex and had fun. And it still carries on...and we don't love each other - yet have a great friendship. So, really, what's the problem with that? It goes both ways too - I could be kicking him to the curb too at any time, and he knows it. We both do...yet somehow we stay and play. Feels good. Feels fun! Is that bad? If it is, being bad is so damn good! I feel alive!

hey boomshaka...he def doesn't 'complete' me, but makes me feel 'full' somehow...fills my mind and body somehow...feels good. but also, don't want to own him emotionally...he needs freedom and so do i..i want to grow, and so does he...but seems he need a mother somehow, which is why he has his girl. he needs to feel safe...he's a foreigner...

Yo believe me when I say that history tend to repeat itself, I get it that you two complete each other, but for your own safety, make sure that he's done and moved on from his ex. This dude needs to stand his ground and no he doesn't need a "mother". He needs to put his foot on the ground and get his sh*t together. You need a MAN not a boy who's lost in a grocery store looking for his mother.

i don't think we do complete each other though babe...i really feel like we just 'fill each others cup' and its temporary. I think we'll be lifelong friends - cause we are both analytical and thinkers, but I don't think we would ever want to 'own' one another...i just enjoy him and the benefits! I don't want him...he is a boy, as you said...it's just for fun..(as bad as that may sound)... :) xxx

yeah! no. lol. no chance. he's too annoying (emotionally). too 'undone' and dependant. But - not my problem. the issue is, I'm super sensitive with smell and he wears my favorite cologne. so , its hard to not crave him physically - the whole interaction is delicious. he's a sensory delight! (except for the heart) lol! xxx

I said E because there isn't a "He's a lust driven cheater." Breaks, in my opinion are excuses to cheat without feeling bad. He just wants a little before he goes back to his girlfriend. I suggest leaving him alone.
