What does it mean when a guy asks for your last name?

Hooked up with a guy last week, and been on two casual study sessions. Now he's asking my last name. Is he interested?

I'd take it as a sign of interest. If you're in regular contact and building a rapport with somebody, naturally you'd be curious as to the person's surname. If you're not comfortable with divulging that information at the stage, then be candid (but tactful) and let him know, e. g. 'I'd like for us to get to know each other a bit more first'. I'm sure he'll understand. Either way, don't take it as an affront or anything suspicious.

He is probably going to add you on Facebook or chat to his buddies about you... I wouldn't get too paranoid as to why he asked your last name. Maybe he thought you looked like someone and you had the same name as them. There could be many reasons. Don't over think it.

Sounds like simple curiosity. If he's asking about your family medical history or your fertility, then that might be a sign.

He's just curious of your last name. Most guys who are into girls aren't asking those questions at all.
