Does a girl going to prom with a guy mean anything?

There is a girl that I like and wanted to ask to prom, but another guy beat me to it. They arnt dating and I've never seen them talk to each other before. So I was wondering if it meant anything relationship wise, that their going together.

I was also wondering if it would be alright if I Troyes to ask her out even through their going to prom together?

It depends on who asked who. I went to an all girls high school and every guy I knew went to the all boys high school. If I asked them to one of my proms, I probably like him at least a little bit. If I agreed to go with a guy to his school's prom, I don't see it as a big deal. It was common to take a friend to school dances.

it might not mean anything longterm I do know of girls who went to prom with a guy but didn't end up dating them it does happen a lot . some girls just want a date at prom not a relationship with the guy . that being said wait till after the prom to ask her out if it becomes obvivous there prom date didn't lead anywhere

What if I just asked her if she wants to get dinner after she gets off work one day?

i don't know you could always try talking to her and get a feel for what she is thinking about this and if she's even looking to date anyone , is she planning on going away for school ? is dating her a realistic option at this time

Though, also, sometimes, a girl will just give in because she doesn't have a date.
