Guys' peripheral vision

Hey guys. I'm wondering how you 'check out' girls you find interesting without giving her clues. There's this lad in my class who's always sitting at the front and I'm somewhere in the next road - and very often tends to turns his head sideways where I'm at and I have no idea what he's looking at. I can see this because I have a woman's broad peripheral vision and I always thought that men need to actually have their eyes fixed on someone to focus on them.

Also, if a guy constantly messes with his hair in class couldn't that be because he's vain?

How would you hold your body if the girl you liked always sat behind you at uni/work ect.? Especially if you didn't want her to know (for some weird reason) I really don't understand how someone can show many signs of interest/attraction and not do anything about it - almost avoiding it! Some say it's because their intimidated or they think the other person aren't interested.

A guy's peripheral vision is probably twice as strong as his normal front vision.

Men are "visual" creatures to begin with, why do you think we care about looks as much as girls do?

Anyway, he probably likes you but has not come to any conclusions on whether he should ask you out. First things first, you are in the class room setting. Nobody these days has guts to ask a girl out right in front of everybody and risk himself of being laughed at by other guys.

Hes probably waiting for the right time, the right moment to do it. When is this right time? I don't know, but I'm pretty sure it will be a private place.

Hmm, he often leans back in the chair in my direction... and somehow, I don't know how it is so, we often tend put our hands the same places on our body... It's just difficult finding a private setting when he's not initiating contact and stays around his friends - and I'm shy...

sometimes we just want to check out someone, but we aren't necessarily interested in talking to her right then. Or, we may know she's already taken... Especially a girl showing herself off., dressed to attract attention.

...so we pretend to be yawning to look at her out of the corner of our eyes, or we pretend we drop something, so that we can catch a glance at her while bending down to pick something up. Sometimes, we get up and go out of the room just to peek at her while on the way in and out...

I've heard that as well: that a male's peripheral vision isn't as good as a female's.

Me too - and I think it's correct.

Also the dude could have approach anxiety and be introverted as well - which is a huge cross to bear
