Button down shirts for guys? are they sexy? why or why not?

my wife likes me to wear button down shirts when we go out. what's the appeal?

I don't know if this is the case for many girls, but I think they make a guys figure look more shapely, and for me anyway, they're a nice difference from my boyfriends baggy band shirts and jumpers what are all just black and grey- he has one chequered green button down shirt he wore on my birthday and he hated it, but it honestly looked better than baggy band merch shirts. They just look more...presentable. If the guy is always in baggy plain stuff its a welcome change- not that there is anything wrong with baggy other stuff mind you. We just like the variety I guess :)

They are sexy, especially with a dark colored jean and dress shoes.

I love looking at a guys figure. Its so hot when you can see a guys wide shoulders and his small waist. There was a recent study that showed We, women are more attracted to men depending on his shoulder to waist ratio. Weird isn't it?

IMO dress shirts show the shape of a guy better, and you look classier in them ; ) Graphic/plain t's are cool. But there is just something about a well groomed/dressed guy that I personally find charming.

Personally, yes,they drive me crazy! I love a man in a blue oxford button down. They're classy and refined, they draw attention to the shoulders and are more flattering to the male form, (tshirts by comparison only look really hot if you have an amazing body to begin with.)

I love wearing a buttoned shirt, black pants or dark jeans, and dress shoes. It makes me feel more mature, manly, and stronger. I noticed that people treat me more like an adult, and girls look at me more often when wearing that.

It's probably as sexy with guys and girls and it has a lot to do with how it compliments one's figure. I especially think they are very hot on a girl. Shows the figure but doesn't show too much, melts on the spot.

I personally love button down shirts, but especially with the sleeves rolled up a bit.

They're flattering on a lot of people, and if you get a bit frisky, it's sexy to undo each button slowly ;)

I like wearing button down shirts, but I"m picky. Usually the fit of the shirt makes a bigger difference than the style of it. Express 1MX are my favorite button downs, and they come in like 20 different colors.

Do you mean shirts with button down collars, or do you just mean shirts. Which have buttons unless described as a t-shirt.

I love button downs! They can be casual or classy depending on the material and color :D

The anticipation when unbuttoning them isn't too bad either d;
