Button down shirts, yes or no?

I want to move past just jeans and t-shirts, are button downs with jeans a good look? I don't mean like dress shirts you wear with a tie, just casual button downs like from American Eagle

Button down shirts are very sexy :P

The cut makes a guy shoulders look extremely broad (hardwired into the female brain to trigger attraction)

and also they aren't very tight so they can hide any imperfections you may possibly worry about

And also they're classy. Button down shirts show style, and that you put a liiiittle more work into what you wear, which for some reason I like.

But don't pair them with sneakers. Find some dress shoes that look good with jeans (dark jeans, not light ones), but still are casual and not too fancy.

Yes. It looks really nice. Much better than just jeans and a t-shirt. Wearing jeans and a t-shirt is fine but wearing something else a little nicer looking besides jeans and t-shirt is way better and looks much better. To me, a guy wearing an button down, on principle, is much more attractive than a guy wearing a t-shirt.

I like them esp with patterns like plaid but dress shirts are good but I'm kinda tired of the plain white ones you see with ties so try a colored one

You're still young so I get that you still feel a bit uncertain about it, but I'm currently in the process of replacing all my t-shirts with button down shirts (casual and formal).

You can never go wrong with a button down shirt as long as you make sure they are a good fit, you don't want to look like you are wearing your dads clothes.

Sure those shirts are fine. Get a female friend to go shopping with you and help you pick out colors, we are good at making guys look great.
