Girls don't listen to edm?

How come there aren't a lot of females that listen to edm. I love edm, but the only people I know that like it are guys. And if I do find another girl that does like it, they're either extremely trashy or a druggie. Why do you guys think not a lot of girls listen to this genre of music? And what do you think of girls that do?

I actually beg to differ, I feel like more girls listen to EDM than guys.

It might just be who you are around. I know in my friend circle, I'm one of the only people who listens to it, so if I based my judgments off my immediate environment, they're wouldn't be accurate.

I just know that when I go to EDM festivals and concerts, there are probably 6 girls for every 4 guys. At the very least I'd say its pretty much 50/50.

I love girls who listen to EDM. There really isn't much of a reason other than its a common bond we would share. Music is a huge passion of mine and I'm a musician and producer myself who makes EDM. So for that reason it would be cool that we share that hobby to a degree. I also like to think EDM music has the hottest girls for fans :). Half the fun of the concerts is that the girls are amazing. They're hot, they like to have a good time, and they listen to the same music as me. I'm am yet to meet a guy or girl at an EDM concert who wasn't the coolest person.

People have different preferences. Also, it's hard to find people nowadays who like The Beatles. The same with EDM.

Well, maybe most girls think it's a 'rough' life style or don't focus too much on their music taste except for the mainstream radio stuff. I honestly was brainwashed by my brothers when I was younger with edm and it's origins and I don't go to raves just to smoke a blunt, and I know some girls that are in my boat too. I think there are lots of girls who are the same, but you just need to dig a wee bit harder.

Me :) I've never even tried a puff from a cig let alone ANY drugs, and I take care of my body and try to look my best! It's thinking music for me; I'm an artist, so I guess I'm the deep type? lol
