Do guys like opinionated girls?

Helloo,

I know a lot about society, politics and culture and have rather strong opinions. Doesn't take me long to get into debates. I am creative with my thinking and an technically an artist at the same time (sold one of my pieces for 3 grand on auction).

However, I am studying to be a makeup artist and I guess this might surprise some guys as they get to know from knowing my career.

Judging from my picture, would it turn you off or on? Would you expect me to be like this?

ps. I don't force people into my opinions. I just like to voice them when I can and think about the world. A sense of righteousness is important to me.

I like opinionated girls, but if you are closed minded or like to base your opinions on very weak grounds, I'm going to think you're an idiot, and honestly, not worthy of having that opinion.

Example:

You have an opinion that all guys are idiots. As crazy as this opinion sounds, I actually wouldn't get mad immediately, I would legitimately sit down and listen to you without interrupting you for like, an hour, maybe longer if you give valid, irrefutable points.

If you give educated, impartial, and logical responses, congratulations, you are an intelligent person worthy of voicing your opinion to the world.

However, on the other hand, if you were to tell me you think guys are idiots because you got into a relationship with a boy who ended up cheating on you, I would call you an idiot. Especially if the guy was a known player who liked to wear bling and flirt with a million girls, like he was a VERY obvious player and you still decided to get with him.

Pretty much, if you're going to have an opinion, it's okay for it to be different from mine, but you better have the intelligence and foresight to back it up.

I'll answer your questions in reverse order if I may.

I honestly don't see any relation between your profile picture and your choice of career or the strength and tenacity of your opinions. The fact that you feel strongly about certain things is a turn-on in itself and the fact that you're a healthy, attractive woman is some icing on that cake.

For me, being able to have intelligent conversations with a woman I'm interested in is pretty much a must-have, regardless of whether we agree or disagree on some issues. In fact, both are important. If we agree, then we have something in common and that generates trust and rapport. If we disagree, that generates respect and most importantly, it generates tension. And tension is ATTRACTION! :-) Hope this answers your questions effectively enough!

Yes it does thank you! :) and because when people as what I want to do and say 'makeup artist' they talk completely differently to me compared to if I don't tell them what I do.. :')

You're welcome. :-) I don't understand people talking to you differently at all. I guess there's some stereotype or perception that I don't fully grasp. There's plenty of tricky stuff in make-up artistry, as I understand it.

I don't mind anyone having an opinion on something as long as its well reasoned with some kind of logic, evidence and/or facts to support that opinion. I like intelligent debates and discussion, but when people start saying stupid things based on their feelings and emotions without any kind of reasoning to back that up, it gets rather frustrating and annoying... So yeah, having well reasoned opinions is good for stimulating discussions... :o)

Ps. How you look in your picture would have no bearing to me on your ability to formulate well reasoned opinions and to discuss and debate them with dignity and respect for the opinions of others... I hope that helps you! :o)

I think people like people with their own opinions, thoughts, and perspectives; however, being opinionated is something different. That is more along the lines of being conceited and arrogant in one's opinion to the point that you don't accept or consider other views... That, being opinionated, is highly unattractive. Have opinions fine and preferred by me...being opinionated unattractive to me

I wouldn't expect anything and wouldn't judge you to be anything other than a very pretty girl. based on your picture I wouldn't be able to say whether or not you are opinionated, artistic or whatever

I like girls who're passionate about things, especially if they don't press on me about my own beliefs. So it's a good thing for me, I guess I'm attracted to it, wouldn't say it's a specific turn on. Judging by your picture it would probably be a turn on, I don't think I'd expect you to be like that... Although you do look quite bright so I'd not rule it out. It would surprise me though how vocal you would be about your opinion though, you just look like the Cute/Shy type.

I think you are more on the lines asking yourself this question. You know you're potential, so do you xjesspandax like opinionated guys? Men will be attracted to you regardless, because you are beautiful, but will you waste your time on a lesser of a potential, or would you like to find that one man that meets you half. If your morals are high, who know what to expect!

If someone doesn't have an opinion on a topic, it almost always means he or she doesn't have knowledge of that topic.

I like girls who have knowledge and therefore opinions, as long as they came to those opinions through independent thinking. I can't stand people who parrot what other people say. Regrettably, the vast majority of people who claim to be interested in politics seem to parrot other people's views, hence the very artificial 'liberal'/'conservative' dichotomy.

There is nothing wrong with being an opinionated woman, and that in itself is NOT a turn off.

Problem is that some women mislabel behaving like a bitch and having the stereotypical feminist chip on the shoulder as "opinionated". There is a vast difference.

Yes, of course we do. A girl who's very opinionated is usually really smart and can make wise decisions and can really stand up for herself.
