So, there have been several occasions on which a guy said it was sexy that I drive a manual transmission.

I think it's funny. What do you think?

It's actually completely normal where I live, automatics are not that commonly used. I tried both, and I like manual cars much better. It allows better control of the motor and speed.

As for sexy/whatever, I think nothing of it. It's the norm around here :)

Now, if you hold the stick in a very evocative way, it can send a sexy vibe :P Stick innuendos are easy :P And after all the look is rather phallic ^^

I usually get, "You drive a stick? Soooo hot!" or "I can't believe you drive stick shift." Its really kind of cute to see a guys reaction. Sometimes it takes away the fact that my seat is so close to the steering wheel and the pillow in my seat to accommodate for my height, but still I get teased for that too.

Is it weird that is actually a question I tend to ask on a date? Not that I'd drop a girl if she couldn't drive stick but I'm of the mind that any car worth driving is stick. I have a secret agenda against manual. You just don't.

I know guys that bought sports cars with an automatic because their significant other can't drive stick. (possibly they won't admit that they can't either) What's the point of having a sports car if it's not a stick?

It got its upsides.. although I personally would rather prefer automatic instead, if they wouldn't be so terribly overpriced there!

Depends, those guys are probably car enthusiast like myself. We go omg! how rare over girls like you. Down here a lot of chicks are opting to drive auto which is gay... and personally I prefer a girl that drive stick over a granny transmission. It's not like it's bad or unattractive that a girl drives an auto for me, it's just more attractive =]

I don't think it's sexy, but I do find it somewhat fascinating because it's harder to drive with a manual transmission, and not that many girls drive with one.
