A guy who can dish it out but can't take it? How to handle it?

Its not boyfriend or even a guy I'm dating, just someone I know.

He easy to throw around the teasing and even sometimes being a little jokingly mean but when I try and give it back to him he gets defensive and says he's "had about enough of me he can handle for one day."

How to handle it?
