I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year and he thinks I'm cheating on him with one of my guy friends. I've been friends with this guy since I was 5 and he has a girlfriend that he's been with for 7 years. But my boyfriend always asks me if what's going on between us. I've told him so many times that nothing has ever happened. Plus my parents hate him, they have actually stopped talking to me because I'm with him. I just don't know what to do with him anymore. I'm 23 and he's 30 and I act more responsible than him. He doesn't have a car and I have to drive him everywhere, he has a 5 year old daughter who he never sees because he doesn't have the money to support her. I just want him to grow up and start acting like he's 30 and stop accusing me of cheating on me but I don't know how? please help.

Well... a couple of things.

Opposite sex friendships can put a strain on any relationship.

Your parents don't like this guy for a lot of reasons. If I had a daughter, I'd be wary of her dating someone much older than her... especially someone who doesn't have a car and a daughter from a preexisting relationship. Hell, I'd be wary of just a friend dating someone like this. Sure, bad times fall on good people, but not being able to get yourself in line enough to take care of yourself or your child should be a big warning flag. It would make me wonder where this person's priorities really are.

Also, suppose that you wanted a family of your own. Is this the type of person who you would want to help support and provide for you and your children together?

In the end, you can't make people change. While it is noble to want to save and fix people, it involves a lot of (sometimes meaningless) sacrifice on the part of the saver. Any change in him will have to come from inside of him, not outside. Your desire may be an alternate manifestation of your unhappiness with this relationship... it sounds like you are looking for something better or at least different.

Finally, it sounds like there are some pretty deep trust issues going on. This is also a pretty big warning sign.

Regardless of how you feel about your s/o, take an honest look at the impact that being in this relationship has had on your life. Frustration, strained relationship with family and mistrust all take their toll.

tell him this make it clear you are not cheating & never would & that he really needs to change and try to support his 5 year old daughter more or that relationship wit them will be ruined forever and make sure you tell him you love him :] but your not his mom your his girlfriend and he needs to act like your BOYFRIEND :D good luck!
