Do you like going barefoot?

Do you like going around barefoot, as in at home or even outside in the street/ mall etc? I have started seeing lots of people walking around my town without shoes and wondered why more people don't do this. It feels so good to be barefoot!

I do kendo, which is a martial art that builds up the soles of your feet a good bit, so my answer may be different...

I've always gone barefoot in the house, though that may be because of Chinese culture. (You have to remove shoes and either wear slippers or socks, or go barefoot when you enter a house.) I would go barefoot in the streets and mall, but in the mall, I'm a bit afraid to, not knowing what's on other people's shoes, and while I do go barefoot in the street if my shoes hurt occasionally, I prefer not to, just because there can be sharp things and splinters.

At home, outside in the patio yeah it feels so comfortable but outside elsewhere not really it'll look weird, you'd become a fashion failure besides it'll be unsanitary. How do you know what's been at the place your walking barefoot. Can you imagine walking near the footpath and later finding out the dog peed there lol.

I like going barefoot as many places as possible but in the end it's about logic. There are just certain places one shouldn't go barefoot due to what she/he might step on.

As for y'all who whine about broken glass, if it's just a small piece you'll feel it before you put your full weight down and then you step around it. I love it around the house, and outside on my street. But I couldn't do it in the mall or the city, the floor is too dirty, and I'd get infected blisters if I walked around too much.

at home yes. outside no. in the summer the main reason I put on socks is when I'm going out.

in the winter I do it if my feet are cold.

I'm always barefoot at home or just going to the complex pool (unless it's really hot, then the tiles will burn) but I throw on some flip-flops/sandals to leave. It's not safe to be walking around barefoot where there could be glass. I've seen people running in the city barefoot and that's just lunacy. You can see the shards of glass on the ground. And how much grosser would it be if you walked on dog poo or chewing gum. If you've got a cut on your foot you're into more trouble.

I am a summer baby, therefore I LOVE going barefoot. However, I would not do it in a public place like the mall. (Eww.) But I've gone barefoot in my friend's houses before and on my street. Not to mention 9/10 my shoes are off in my own house.

no. I've been trained to never go anywhere barefoot. even at home, I've always got sandals on. only place I truly enjoy being barefoot is in bed. or on the beach.
