When you like someone, do you overlook the bad things they do?

I have noticed whenever I like someone I act like their bad qualities don't really exist. If I like this guy but he's a player, I'll just act like he's not, and ignore it. Does anyone else do this?

Absolutely lol. Its horrible but I can be temporary blind to the things I don't want to accept. Often I would rationalize this by "waiting" to see if things changed even though I knew it wouldn't. Eventually it comes to a point where you realize you don't want those things in your life and you can't make someone change so you have to move on and find someone else. Everyone is going to have "bad" qualities because no one is perfect, and dating is just finding that person who is right for you. Someone with more good qualities than bad qualities and only having the bad qualities you can live with.

I'm so attracted to the bad boys which is really bad. I don't think I overlook their bad ways, I just have this little thing where I believe I'm the girl who can change their bad ways.

I feel like with badboys, we know their bad but when we see the sweet, nice side, we melt. And it's like their bad ways don't exist. Well, for me it's like that.

I used to do that when I was about 15 years old but now I look at the positive and negative qualities of someone I'm interested in. It's not good to overlook the bad because you'll regret it and will be hurt. Why do you overlook bad traits in the guys that you like?

It depends on how bad. Most people are flawed and I can handle some, but if I know that my crush is a known golddigger or comes from a very promiscuios past it would be difficult to overlook. I'll give people the benefit of the doubt, but if she tries to take my money or I find out that she is cheating on me with other men I won't be able to complain.

Definitely. One way for me to get over a oneitis is for me to in my mind attack all their flaws, eventually ill lose the attraction I had for them.

Currently I'm with this girl that I fell for, who isn't even that hot (5/10, cute face but bodies skinny barely any t*ts or ass). I don't care about the fact that she isn't hnggg hot, I overlook that fact

Nope, I'm very real with myself from the start looking at the mix of bad and good. I want to understand their dark side just as much as I understand their loving side. Depending of the flavor of the mixture, I make a decision if it might work.

For a while, yes. I see them through rose-tinted glasses, so to speak. Their flaws are less obvious or even cute. But after a while, reality hits and I start to see them as they are. It doesn't take long.

No. I don't have patience for things like that. If negative qualities become overwhelming to me they can go be negative on their own. I don't let other people hold me down.
