Will chlorine mess up my highlights? please HELP

I got my hair highlighted blond about 2 or 3 weeks ago and I'm going to a theme park Saturday with a water park and scared the chlorine will turn my hair green or effect the highlights some type of way. HELP

Will my hair be ok? I'm kinda scared now

One day at the pool probably won't have a visible effect on your hair, but it can't hurt to take precautions by using a shampoo and conditioner with SPF before you go, and rinsing your hair afterward with a shampoo that specifically removes chlorine (UltraSwim is a good one.)

Chlorine always messes up hair, so yes, it will mess with your highlights. Yes it can turn green. My friend in high school was a swimmer and her hair was always turning green. It also broke off a lot because she bleached it blond & swam a lot in chlorine water.

try it out in a pool near you b4 hand...

and it depends like I've seen girls whose hair really did turn green and other with highlights tht didnt...

try asking your hair stylist too...
