Do dumpers ever regret walking out?

I'm certain that this has been asked a trillion times but I'm curious.

Assuming, even, a few years roll by and the dumpee has spent time redeveloping herself, working on her faults, and just gaining in life experience is it possible for the dumper, once so confident in his decision to end it at the time, to later round back (maybe befriend the dumpee) and to find that maybe the grass wasn't greener?

I'm just curious. Some people have said yes, others say no. If there ever was once a spark, can it come back?

Only regrets if the dumper had been the one to do something wrong. Everyone changes, develops, grows over time . . . He may be glad for you that you are improving, but that's not going to make him regret the decision he made back then. That was then, this is now. He didn't leave the person you are now, he left the person you were then. Plus, he has changed as well and probably has a much better idea of what he really wants from a woman now. Most likely he wants to find that from a woman in his future, not a woman in his past. That doesn't mean he won't look back fondly at some of the times you had, but that's completely different than wanting to develop anything with an ex in the future. I think woman cling to the notion of rebuilding what 'once was' a lot more often than men do.

i recently broke up with my boyfriend of a year and a half, and at first I wanted to be alone, didn't reallly want to talk to him much, but then I found that I started to miss him more and more as a person rather than a partner. we've tried going on dates again and such, but there hasn't been much spark and I definitely understand that whole "lets stay friends" thing much better now, because sometimes you just work out better as friends.

I think some people do regret it when he relationship wasn't that bad to begin with
