My boyfriend calls me his lady friend to his friends.
Ex: "I'm going to go see my lady friend now, bye."
He also calls me his girlfriend, babe, girlie friend, future wife... Lady friend is just one of his terms of endearment for me.
Typically guys will just call a girl who's just a friend a female friend or a girl [insert long pause] friend.
However, his response (assuming he's telling the truth and reading it exactly as he typed it) indicates that she's just friends...for now. Sounds rather flirtatious.
If they were dating, he would have said, "Must have. I'm dating you."
Make sense?

Hi,
Usually, if I refer to a "lady friend" it means a girl I have or am currently sleeping with. If she is my friend I will call her my friend or use her name. There is no reason to call her my lady friend. I'm not playing with her lady parts. Now, this is from my stand point and based off of my experience, but that is probably his love interest and he probably thinks of you as a friend or wants you to be his other "lady friend".

Someone he like that is not a girlfriend but you see her as more than just a friend. If you two were to date she would be the thorn in your side.

When I refer to someone as my lady friend its usually because I am very interested in dating or about to date/start a relationship her. So unfortunately for you...you know... :/
- A friends with benefits
- A close and platonic female friend
- A woman he likes or is considering datingHis unofficial SO.
