Do guys compare themselves physically to other guys?

So I was at a men's water polo tournament today and I got to wondering whether or not guys compare themselves to other guys.

Girls do, I know, but do guys? Like do they compare their abs to those of their peers or their height or whatever?

Height not really. We can't change our height, and it's not really a point of concern until we compare it to our girl. But with other guys? Nope.

And what is there to compare physically, really? Guys don't show off their abs for other guys to see, so guys don't look at nor care about other people's good abs. Flabby abs... well, no one wants to look at those, and anyway if there's people exposing their abs about, there's high chance a few girls are around too, so we look at those instead.

After writing this much, it seems that the whole reason why we don't compare physically, is because we're much too interested in girls to care about what other guys think of us.

Not so much about looks. Maybe a little. It's usually about money. If the guys are not close enough (friendship) to talk about money, then it may be a little bit about looks. But girls are much more serious about comparing looks to one another.

Some, not as much as girls do. When I'm at the gym, I do look around. "oh, that guy has huge arms," "that guy has a ton of fat on his front," etc. I think girls get jealous more than guys do.

True story, friend. But, on occasion, like girls, if we are having a bad day and see something we really want, like a guy's forearms that are so much bigger than ours, I mean what can you do but have a crappy day? haha

I can only see them doing so if they work out a whole lot. Other than that not really. There's too much homophobia among men in general to get that way.

I think some of us do to a certain extent. We may compare height, weight , and who we think might be able to date certain girls.. Things like that.

It's funny I had to think the question through. But no, never. If I'm at the gym I might be impressed by a guy with my build that's insanely strong.

it's not in the same way as women, men typically are compared by how much money they make, not by how they look, like women

Yeah. Sounds kinda vain but I do. But as I compete in bodybuilding I guess it's to we how I compare and where I need to improve.
