GUYS, explain the 1-10 rating scale for women?

Enlighten me! I have never understood how someone can rate someone else. What does each number mean and what do you expect for each number?

For example: one is ... and I would picture her to have ... eyes, ...hair,... height, ... personality, etc

This is going to be fun :) umm I've made a bit nicer well really I've dumbed it down cause a lot of them have to do with the feeling you get from the person but generally from a non-linear non subjective point of view its the same. Also almost every guy is going to have a different way of grading girls, mine isn't complete here else it'd be a lot longer but yeah hope it shows you the gist of it.

1. is a dead girl, (doesn't matter what she looks like she is dead therefore the epitome of unattractive.)

2. A very manly looking girl short hair, beat up looking face, usually average height slightly overweight her attitude makes you want to kill her,

3. Are ghetto/white trash girls dumb as bricks easily upset/angered height and looks may vary but its the personality that puts them so low on the list.

4. Are just ugly girls can be thin or fat smart or dumb, the face is the clincher for this number.

5. are cute but annoying usually their either short or around average height, they are the ones who are easily hurt in relationships, fall in love easily and are trying to get married as soon as possible, A.K.A Grenades

6. A hot girl she is smart and sexy and she knows it overly confident this is your friend-zone-r a fun conquest.

7.Good looking girl but is to dumb to hold an intelligent conversation this is your gossip monger.

8. Cute/adorable girl smart fun, height varies but you usually find them in groups of guys

9. never met anyone above an eight but they'd be a cute smart intelligent girl kind and sweet hard to anger easy to forgive.

10. are impossibilities cause that would entail your perfect which is impossible

I guess my personal gradient scale would run on "Number of Features" in a sense. So instead of a numerical representation it would be a percentage scaling of what I appreciate. So 0% would be "I'm not interested" and 100% would be "I am very interested". I'm not an extremist with the whole "I can't stop looking!" nonsense, that's silly to me, but if one holds more cards than the other it's definitely noticeable in my behavior towards them.

There's also an inverse scale that is just based on how well I get along with a person. 0% is good, no conflict, 100% is horrible, total war; even if a person is high on the above scale it doesn't guarantee you actually get along so obviously it's worthless to pursue. I've met many great people with great personalities that I will simply never be able to get along with. "Many" is a tad of a lie, a few, if not less than moderate amount, but I was using it for effect.

I really need to stop typing what I think as I think it. This is so bloody annoying.

It's hard to explain, and it also changes according to the guy, because we all have our own types. However, most guys can easily agree if a woman is attractive or not. Though we will bicker on who the hottest is.

There are two scales, really. One is based purely on physical appearance whereas the other also incorporates the girl's personality. I've discussed this with my friends and we've decided that:

1-4: Ranges from completely unattractive to unattractive

5: VERY rare and many would argue that this girl does not exist since girls tend to be either attractive OR unattractive

6-10: Ranges from slightly above average to gorgeous

Basically, 1-4 is undateable, 5 usually requires alcohol or personality to decide where she falls and 6-10 is the dateable rating.

*If using the personality scale, the personality results in attractiveness +/- 2 points

I don't get it either. A friend asked me to rate a girl I liked, but I couldn't give her a number. It's weird, because every other girl you like is different and you would need to take every single detail into account. It's not feasible. And all the other answers thus far will show every guy has a different interpretation. This is very logical since every guy will focus on other things.

I just like her, isn't that all that matters?

7-8: Very attractive girl, good body (not perfect) - your average good-looking college girl

6: Just above average...on the surface - you're not like really attracted to them, but a couple of beers makes them really hot, also butterfaces

5: Starting to get into an OK body and OK face - you can find something attractive to them, but the beer goggles have to be on.

3-4: Below average - not really that attractive. Bad body, bad hair
