What does no response mean?

i asked a guy friend if he wanted to hang out sometime and he didn't respond. it was on Facebook I asked when he was offline and it says that he seen it. but yet no response so I'm a little confused?

I think, either he's not interested, is thinking about it or he 'accidentally' saw it and didn't have time to answer or something. I'd personally leave it, because asking again or going "hi did you see my message? hey? helloo?" would come off as creepy.

If he's an active Facebooker it is almost impossible he didn't notice it, and if he did want to hang out, he'd make it clear.

Next time do it in person :)

this is why people shouldn't ask someone out over Facebook .been better to have asked him in person but I wouldn't think nothing of him not responding right away.. you don't no what he was doing he might not have even been online long . just ask again and wait a few days and if still no answer then he might be blowing you off.. if you ask him in person then at least he has to answer you

Yeah unfortunately that doesn't seem like he is interested in hanging out. If he was, then I'm positive he would have replied or at least acknowledge your message. If he was busy he could have just told you that too. I'd take this as a no. Were you romantically interested in him?

Facebook and texting seems to have killed the old verbal communication of calling someone and asking them if they want to hang out. Society lol
