I probably wouldn't really notice.. I don't really notice small things like that which girls love to bring to my attention. I would just see it as part of holding hands or something.

They generally don't notice the details of the gesture. It's more just like "she's touching my hand" rather than "she is slowly rubbing her thumb gently back and force alongside my palm". Haha

I think there are definitely places they would prefer to be rubbed other than their hand, but as a gesture of affection, yeah, it would be nice.
