Why assume that you need to go into cryo-sleep?

There are so many different potential ways for this exploration:

- Maybe we will send a generation ship, with complete autonomy. You go with your families and friends. Your descendants will arrive long after you are dead and recycled.

- Maybe we will send embryos with robots. The robots will grow them up on arrival. They will teach them and give them our culture.

- Maybe instant travel, the more we learn, the more there is to know. So there may be doors through space we just need to open.
