Would you say that life was easier for you as a child or an adult?

I pick adult. I was counting down the days to adulthood as a kid, and life has been much better and easier with me in charge of it. I get to act like a kid and enjoy it if I want as well as all the perks of adulthood.

I’m trying to think of a neutral example but it’s difficult and I don’t want the example itself to bias people.

My concern is the post will devolve into conflict- resolution for the example and stray away from the objective which is _how to detect when people are feigning confusion_.

So I do not think I’m going to provide an example. I may add one later if one comes to mind that I think may be useful. If anyone wants to create hypothetical to convey the problem that is welcome 🤗

I WOULD put this in a ‘psychology’ section IF we had one but we do not so I am putting it in Society & Politics bc

1) communicational conundrums are at the core social issues that do not apply to one specific gender.

2) while not primarily a political question, feigning confusion can absolutely apply in political situations, esp considering politics in the current climate is 99% gas lighting.

But all in all I’d prefer if we had a psychology section. 👍🏼

I’ve been living with my fiancé and his grandma for about 7 months now. Lately she has been getting even sicker (she’s on oxygen 24/7) so that also contributes to her having some breathing issues as well. It’s been a few days since she’s been back home from the hospital since her last visit not too long ago. Everything has been turned upside down!

No drama but everything is about her. I work full time M-F get home at 6pm so majority of my time is there since he doesn’t work but get $ monthly. She was already dependent on him but now it’s worse! He has to feed her, and walk her to the bathroom, clean up after her and clean the house all the time.

NYE was the first time in days we’ve spent more than 1 hr together.. IN THE SAME DAMN HOUSE!!! I’ve been asking him for months for dates, more than 2hrs of quality time, to get away from the house since his grandma is home ALLL the time!! We have no privacy and no peace and quiet at all cause he’s always chasing after her. Anytime we leave the house together it’s pretty much for her benefit not for a good time.

I don’t want to sound selfish but I’ve been helping him before her health declined but it makes me not want to help since there hasn’t been any balance in our relationship. It’s all about her and did I forget to add we’ve only slept in the same bed 5 times the whole 7 months I’ve been here.
I explain to him I want things to change that I want to go out and do things but I get an okay and nothing changes.

We had plans to spend the night at a hotel for NYE but had to cancel cause she need him on the hour by the hour 🙄. Our sex is always good but I’m checked out because if you can find time to have sex with me you can set aside more than an hour of your time!

We had a pregnancy scare but I’m thankful I’m not pregnant because I’d honestly leave this house. Myself nor my baby will sit there and be on the back burner. Not for no no one!!

It’s not the first time he has gone away with his family around NYE and I understand that there might not be much left of the holidays of just them as a family. We have pre celebrated new years together before he went away but I can’t help but get a bit sad/annoyed that he’s not here for new years. He keeps telling me how much fun he’s having and I’m happy he’s having fun but apart of me just gets annoyed and I’m not sure if its normal to feel this way or I’m overreacting.

We have been together for a few years now.

guys, do y'all like it when a girl has thick thighs.. yk? or maybe you just don't pay attention at all? cause a few people on some platform said that they loved girls w thick thighs (cured my insecurity a little) but the others say they're ugly? and why?

I see why women tell each other all the time to not date a broke/poor man now. My last 2 exes were broke and they were miserable. They ruined it for me, I will never date a broke man again. I would ask why they are so much more miserable than broke/poor women but I feel like I know the answer to that.

So there's a guy i accidentally started chatting to on the dating app im on. he's not after anything long term and i wouldn't be interested as he has a kid but as i found him attractive i swiped right when he didn't have that on his profile.

He told me straight away what he was after, without any of the crap i had before that they wanted to meet without saying what they wanted.

I told him the truth about never done anything before and my health and that if he didn't wanna continue talking he didn't have to.

Now he hinted that i could use him as a way of preparing me for whats to expect when it comes to guys. I did say i have attachment issues but we did agree if it did happen thered be no kissing or dates etc

Only thing im concerned about is im saying there won't be anything risky happening but im not sure if he would be hoping for more.

I've said if were still talking by the time my birthday comes around (14th) that we'd meet for a drink not far from where i live (obv im not gonna tell him that) and see what comes of that

He sent me a few pics, one with pants and one without, even tho i did say to keep them on. But the last pic didn't reveal anything and they put a block on photos too risky

Tried to find him on fb to no use and he obv split from his girlfriend and has court orders (but then my brother does and he hasn't done anything wrong)

Does it ever work out or do the same issues end things again?

Example the mom asks her girlfriend what she can do to make her happy.

She does everything and her girlfriend responds with she is not happy cause she would not have to tell her about it for the mom do it.
