boyfriend of three years said I “my love” that I give is a special kinda of love that he wouldn’t be able to get else where. What does this mean? I feel kinda like that he only loves me because I love him hard but like not that I’m special any help?

Growing up, I heard it referred to as the "Third World" but it seems like over the course of the 2010s the term fell out of usage and people now call it the "Global South".

For me it’s a sheer 10 it will trump pretty much any other trait. I get used to people being abut sh! tty or like wheee they are tying to be kind but it’s a chore. Once in a while you cone across a truly kind person where you can see the joy they get in just being at peace with people & it is so beautiful. Kind of intoxicating.

I do not mean weak or ineffectual. Kindness in my opinion different than “being nice” comes with wisdom and strength inherent within & it isn’t arbitrarily doled out in any situation that calls for something more.

Anyhow, I think it’s kind of tropes like everyone wants someone kind but very often not what people end up going for - which is curious. And I’m saying after the facade is broken and whomever was pretending to be kind really isn’t. I don’t think that in itself drives everyone away tho logically, it should.

Tho I suppose shouldn’t be surprising as there is a general social incoherence regarding what seems good snd preferable with what we gravitate towards, and perhaps this is learnt…Stuff we are chastised as children for going to other children is encouraged once we reach adulthood. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My dad knows a guy who got an MBA in his 50s and later managed a hedge fund with 200 managers working under him in China. The guy in his 60s or 70s decides to climb the Grand Canyon with his wife, they started from the bottom and spent 8-14 hours mountain climbing up hill in one day. I'm not even sure I can do more than 2 hours uphill and I'm in my 30s. I think that crazy work ethic is how he managed to earn so much money, my dad says the guy has a genius IQ but this guy isn't just smart, he also works very very hard.
