I went to a beauty salon to get rid of hair on my underarms. The beauty specialist name was Jess, she asked me to sign a package for 13 SHR (Special Hair Removal which is more effective than IPL) treatments, 10 of which were paid by me while the remaining three were free. I asked her more questions about it, she did told me about SHR may not 100% get rid of hair permanently when some of her ex clients still have some hairs left but mostly there was a huge reduction of hairs but those who have hair completely removed permanently are those who don’t have very stubborn persistent hair growth whereby after the hair follicles are destroyed, new ones might come back. After I done all the first 13 SHR treatments, she then told me I have to spend another $400 to maintain the results which she did not told me about before I first signed the package. I spent $560 in total yet I need to spend another $400. I asked her politely why she didn’t told me that earlier and her answer was: “I forgotten”. I was very disappointed with her answer, to which I replied I will have to consider first. I left the place never to come back. But one thing I liked about it was the hairs on my underarms were reduced by a lot and the hairs were not so obvious from a distance it’s like I’m totally hair free even though I’m not. I don’t think the maintenance treatment is worth $400 and I think the first 13 treatments were enough and I was right it’s been 6 months, the hairs still stayed the same it doesn’t get thicker. Luckily I didn’t paid the extra $400. If I have to rate my experience it would be a 6/10 the minus 4 is because she didn’t tell me about the maintenance treatment and I had to pay extra $400 for it in the first place.

My boyfriend's mother got to know about me, I haven't met her but she knows about me. I came to know his mother told his aunt (mother's sister) about me and also a couple of relatives. And then the aunt asked for my picture from him. The aunt said she found me pretty. But the actual problem is, would a woman dislike the girl who her son is dating if she asks the relatives to ask for my picture? Sounds puzzling. Yeah, I asked him if his mother dislikes me or my kind? He said she doesn't have anything against my kind, but she doesn't like him dating me. I have a feeling he's lying to me on this part. Because I know his behavior when he lies. So I wanted to ask, if a woman dislikes her son's girlfriend, would she really tell the relatives and ask for my pictures through them?

I feel the need to cut off toxic family members a lot.
In fact, I don't mind being distant from my whole family.
It sounds cold, but I feel like it's almost part of growing up?
There has been so much trauma in my family and I need to heal and separate from them.

Lately I have been wanting to be more independent and often times my mom cries because she misses me. It's endearing and I feel bad she's lonely, but at the same time I feel quite smothered. She always asks what I am doing/what I did while we don't talk and it gets annoying sometimes. I feel guilty sometimes for wanting to be more independent and it doesn't seem right.

I matched with a guy on a dating app who I knew already in real life. We had a connection in reality, and he gave me hints that he liked me. When matching on the dating app, I gave him a rose (a like) which established the online connection so we could message each other.
He asked me out on the app, I said "yeah! just text me" and gave my number but he never texted...

Did I come off too strong?
The reason I am asking is because I gave him the like, and then gave my number without him asking for it. Was it too much?

It has been like 2 weeks and he never texted me. Do you think he might reach out at some point?
I know it sounds silly but I know some guys are avoidant and overwhelmed by dating so I am not sure where his heads at or what to think other than perhaps he changed his mind or got cold feet about actually meeting me.

My boyfriend and I were introduced by my best friend. She was dating his friend and met him about 3 months before me. My boyfriend and I have been together about 3 years. Her, my boyfriend and her boyfriend were staying at the same place for a bit. When she ran out of clothes she went to my boyfriend's room and borrowed some of his clothes without asking. I came over to hang our with her and saw her wearing the shirt I had just got for his bday. I asked her not to borrow his clothes anymore as it made feel uncomfortable because it felt like she doesn't acknowledge that he's my boyfriend and not just her friend. My boyfriend says it was weird but not deep enough to say anything about but I feel it crossed boundaries. Was I wrong?

In japan you can rent a boyfriend/girlfriend for example. I am kinda interested whether men are interested in dating sugar mommys or not. If you are single since your partner died etc. and your dating pool is small due to your age, sugarbabies ain't that a bad idea since loneliness can be really painful for many people.
