How did You/They Handle a Forgotten Date/Day of your Anniversary?

I can't say I've been in that position but your post reminded me of a very interesting story especially since it's the month of May so my very first mother's Day ever I ended up dreadfully sick burning a fever of 104. I could barely move from the bed major head ache I had a nasty painful ear infection and I had an infant that I had to take care of as well literally I brought all her toys pacifier diapers and wipes and blocked my other side of the bed with her crib so she couldn't fall and I basically stayed put with the exception of having to go pee. I laid there miserable I let her climb all over me I'd Hum her to sleep and I nursed her but we stay in that bed all day. No one called and no one came to see me or check on me. My cell phone was could only receive calls but I couldn't call out there was some issue with the bill and I had no house phone. So about two days later all of my family began blowing up my phone which I think I had left in the bathroom and forgot about it so I didn't get the calls. Later that day I got a knock at the door like someone was gonna break it. It was my entire family all coming to check on me. I was dreadfully still sick and they first were so worried about me and very apologetic about not remembering that first of all I'm a mom and second no one thought of calling me. They came with flowers and gifts and someone drove me to a walk-in clinic. Honestly I wasn't mad I think I was the first day but by this point I was just thankful to see them and they were so apologetic they had so many gifts and I was just happy to have the help. So they made up for missing my very first mothers day.
@meetkitty123 Thank You, sweetheart. She died of Lung Cancer and Dad of Emphysema from Smoking years Ago.:((xxoo
I'm good at remembering dates so this wouldn't be a problem to me if I was in a relationship.
We never really had an anniversary except for the day that we met and neither of us actually remembers that day except that it was in mid to late Aug, `91. However, she DID manage to forget my b-day the last summer that we were still "together", He's was REAL easy to remember!! It was the same as my aunt's, Jan. 1st!! But, apparently, she'd already been cheating on me for at least a year so, that'd be why she forgot my b-day.
"So, you're not gonna be here for my b-day?"
"I don't know. When's your b-day?"
REALLY? After 10 years, you don't know?
If it's tomorrow, then you didn't forget it. Lol. Don't freak out! :)
lol!!! That is What HE Said, @Jamie05rhs xx

I've never forgotten and hope I never do.
I never forget important dates Paris, but I have dated (for about 18 months) a ditzy scatterbrain. She would zone out whilst she was talking, and ask me a second later what she was saying. (Crazy and fun although it did get tiring towards the end)
But, she would ask me whose birthday it (on my birthday) it was.
I think it boils down to the person. She couldn't remember what she ate for breakfast, so how could I be mad at her for not remembering dates?
I literally carve important dates on my desk where I see them every day... I always forget dates, lmao... sorry
I haven't forgotten- yet.
We usually go out for a dinner or- more recently- got carry out at Texas Roadhouse.
Buying a ridiculously expensive gift and lots of groveling.
I am not good with retaining information about key details, so if I were in a relationship, I would definitely forget our anniversary every single year.
I’m still looking for someone to have any kind of anniversaries with…
