I've never been afraid of dog but last year for about 3 months I was more afraid I would hurt a dog than anything else
On the side I work for a property management company and anything they need that I do when I get off work so I get a phone call Friday night they want me to go over and fix a water line in the morning Saturday morning I said fine but I went over there Friday after work cuz I wanted to see what I was up against and I stopped at the house check it out and the next door neighbor came out and said have you heard what happened I said no I have it I guess a bill collector went up on her porch was knocking at the door and she has three big dogs actually two big dogs and one little dog when he was knocking at the door both the big jumped up on the door hit the door which knocked the guy backwards off of the porch and they both attacked him and they messed him up pretty good I said where are your dogs and she said they were my house and I said you can't have them here I talked to the girl many times and I told her I felt one of these days her dog was going to hurt a kid did I send you got to get the dogs out of here right now I said otherwise I'm going to call the dog pound she knew that hurt me to even say that because I love cats I love animals she said that she would take him to her mom's house and I said thank you I look at that house that I had to fix this morning I show up and I see the dogs are still in the house I went to the gate and I knocked on the door she answered it and I said hey you're supposed to get your dogs out of here last night she said I know I'm trying I'm trying to get ahold of my mom so she gets on the phone with her mom you trying to explain to her mom what happened and this dog wants me to throw a ball for it not a problem I pick it up I throw it brings it back to me watch me throw it again will the girls mom wants to talk to me she has to be the phone on talking to her and this dog is getting pissed off because I'm not picking up the ball and going to throw it for him and you can see him getting more and more pissed off can I look at the girl I said get your dog your dog's going to bite me and she goes no he won't and her mom wants to talk to her I hand her the phone the dog comes over to me lunch is at my chest grabs a hold of my hand tries to pull me down to the ground I kicked that dog is hard as I could that he told my hand up and I mean he bit all the way through so for like 3 months I don't care if it was a chihuahua if it starts barking at me my boot was going to kick it and it was going to go flying I mean I was scared yeah I'm all good now it only took about three months but is messed up
When I was a kid (about 5 to 6 years old) DOBERMAN PINSCHERS like this dog below, attacked me

He was the neighbor Doberman Pinscher and it started mauling me. I turned my face towards the ground while that damn dog was biting the back of my neck and biting the back of my head. I was rushed to the hospital, I don't really remember what happened after that, but I went black. They ended up putting the dog to sleep, but I said not to. I wasn't scared of him but he must've thought I was a threat for some reason
For the most part, no, I am not afraid of dogs but some dogs make me uncomfortable.
I like all dog breeds in general, but some dogs have personalities and temperaments that I dislike because they make me uncomfortable. For example, some dogs can be extremely stubborn and will not be trained no matter what you do. I'm not afraid of specific breeds, but I will more than likely be uncomfortable around dogs who are yappy and try to bite my ankles lol.
In Nigeria you’d have to be crazy not be afraid of dogs. If you’re not afraid of them they would give you a reason to be. I think dogs are cute I have three dogs they’re my babies buttt I’m not going close to anyone’s dog it doesn’t matter how adorable they are. I don’t want to be bitten.

No. Been around dogs since I was a kid, and while I never had one myself, I learned how to behave around them. Giving them enough space, recognizing their behavior, and remaining calm prevents accidents.
Most incidents happen because the pet is in a new or strange situation, anxious, and people who don't know better enter their personal space.
Remain calm, keeping your hand in a fist when letting them get your scent, letting them make the first contact when they are ready, and you're good as long as it's not a mistreated or poorly trained dog.
Despite my best friend and neighbor being mauled by our other neighbors psycho dog right in front of me (she survived with a few stiches to the arm), I've never had a fear of dogs. My grandparents lived on a farm, and though my grandmother never officially had any dogs she always fed all the strays that wound up there until they went to wherever they went off to. When I would stay for the summers, I would of course name them and treat them like pets. I can only ever recall one, a male dog being very aggressive. I suppose I did fear him and the neighbors dogs specifically, but I think only an idiot tries to go up and embrace or handle a dog that clearly does not want to be bothered or who has shown aggression towards you.
I used to like dogs more, but now I'm pretty leery of them. Last year my friend's dog bit me 4 times pretty good. He tried to run out the door and I grabbed his collar, he started biting my arm and kept going. He wouldn't stop biting me, so I grabbed him by the throat, slammed him on the ground, and strangled him until he stopped trying to bite me. I know it sounds mean but I didn't know what else to do to make him stop biting me. He sunk his upper and lower fangs all the way into my arm 4 times, I had 8 holes in my right forearm and was bleeding pretty good Thank my lucky fucking charms he didn't hit any veins or shake his head side to side, and he has small teeth for a dog that size. Now instead of petting people's dogs, I keep my arms away from them haha.
dogs are like bees they can easily sense your feelings towards them, and they will react to them. They seem to perceive scared as a threat because they will sometimes react aggressively. If you act excited to see them even a mean dog will melt away its anger BUT not always!
Oh no, I love dogs!
As sad as it sounds, I prefer dogs over most humans... yeah there are some mean dogs out there, but they aren't any worse than some of the people I've come across in life.

No, I love dogs! They are so cute and really loyal.
But yeah, there was a time I was really terrified of them especially after one of them chased me when I was a kid who went to get some milk after my mum told me to and some of my school mate and the driver watch me running and screaming "Mumyyyyyy! It's chasing me! Helpppppp" 🤣
Grew up with them and know when they're dangerous and then move or keep away. Also know how to kick the fuck out of a dog that's about to attack me and stand my ground. I carry a buck knife in my purse also. I will fuck up an attacking dog if it's the last thing that I do.
When I was a kid I was bitten twice, the owners were standing right next to their dogs, and once I was chased by a whole pack of stray dogs, at least 10 of them. My only luck was that a motorbike came and they went after it, left me alone.
So, yes, I am afraid of dogs.
It is okay nowadays, most dogs are well-trained but I still don't like when they start barking.
The big ones that are or the fierce ones. I mean one time my classmate had gotten bitten by a chihuahua, and the owner of the dog just watched and when the dog was done the owner ran away with her dog. And she even had to get stiches and didn't show up to school for weeks. I mean I looooove dogs but dogs like that and my neighbors... well very scary 😬
I was. When I was 11 or 12, I got chased by a Rottweiler-like dog downhill, I don't know when it stopped chasing me, but I kept running until I tripped and rolled down the hill. When I stood up, dog is no longer there and there is a fcking kid laughing at me.
Took me a few years to build up courage since I had to go to college, I had to commute and our street is littered with dogs back then.
Now it's fine.
No! dogs are great only people make dogs bad just feed them food that dog will be best friends with u for life unless it's a trained to kill pitbull I ran so fast this one time and jumped 10feet in too a tree I climbed it there was no branches to grab on too I had too bear hug that tree and shimmied up that shit no lock jaw pitbull biting my ass that day 🤣🤣 other than that dogs are cool lol!
I love dogs. Mine is just a big baby

not "afraid". but i don't trust them. i think there's a difference between treating a thing like the danger it is and "being afraid". because for me being afraid is something irrational. like you're scared without a need to. with dogs there is a need to be careful, cause they can fuck you up and you don't know them, so it's best to not trust.
I am. I'm planning on having therapy in the future. Dogs are everywhere so I can't spend the rest of my life afraid of them.
Kind of... Well, more uncomfortable around some dogs than afraid.. Mostly when they bark at me or want to jump up or run towards me full speed. Depending on their size and how well I know them, I can be scared or feel uncomfortable.
Been training dogs a long time. I can spot half the types of dogs to be aware of from a mile away. The other half don’t show outwardly they are about to lose it. There are very subtile signs though.
I grew up with always a dog nearby.
We speak the same language, so to say :)
My own two doggo's are the nicest buddies one can wish for.
Only very rarely I met a dog that's a little... ''unsocial''; but afraid: no.
Not unless it's acting extremely agressive, I've had dogs that used to try to bite me when I was on the garbage truck and one even ripped my pants one time but it never scared me because he wasn't trying to rip my face off, but those big loud mean growling spit flying looking dogs, yeah those scare me, I wouldn't even get out of the truck if I ever had to deal with that
Nope. Grown up around them my whole life. Absolutely love dogs. Four Dobermans, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, two Pugs, shepherd/lab mix. No shortage of dogs in my life.
not afraid... maybe uneasy at times if they are huge dogs that could easily mess me up if i did the wrong thing in their eyes lol
There is a small group of dogs that I legitimately found scary but aside from that I am totally fine
Honestly me and my dad have kept much scarier things as pets when I was younger
No, I'm not really afraid of dogs. I like them, although I only have two cats here. On the other hand, it's the masters of dogs I often don't trust... Think of the kind of education many dogs get :0/
Depends on size and if it's vicious or not, I can tell when a dog is vicious, but in my defense, literally, I would only be scared until the gun comes out
I love dogs. We have one, a growing puppy. And I've had dogs in the past.
I have learned, though, to respect a dog's space, especially if I'm a stranger to them.
Yes, when I was little in a stroller, my mom was walking in the city park and this dog jumped on me in the stroller, and ever since that happened, I get a fear of dogs.
I'm not afraid of animals in general. Hell I if was to see a bear in the wold I have to remind myself that it's not ok to try to pet it.
I'm not afraid of them, but I'm more of a cat person. Dogs are needy, dirty, and have really weird personalities.
Nope. Not even street/stray dogs, all my childhood where i grew up the hood was full with nasty dogs.
Maybe big scary ones if they’re being defensive. Dogs and I usually get along though
A big ass muscular Pitbull came up to me the other day while I was sitting on bench, he had no leash on but I stroked his head... I thought he might try to bite me but I can't show fear
You must show who is dominant even if you are secretly scared
No. Have been bit in the chest hardcore. Major bruising. Yellow and black and blue. Just took a siesta at 7 years old. Went back to life as normal. Love dogs. Can't get enough of them.
Dogs love me!! I think they just KNOW that I'm someone they can have lots of fun with!
No, but at this time in my life. I really don't like dogs
Some dogs are scary, but for the most part, I love dogs.
Dogs are very obedient loving animals that will lay their lives down for you
My two young rascals here see that differently :D
I used to be afraid of dogs when I was younger but I grew out of that fear once I got older
Nope. And I've been bitten like 3 times. Im more afraid if humans.
Regular dogs? No. Rabid dogs with no apparent owner? A little, yes.
I respect them, if they tell me to go away... I listen
they are just fun-loving animals it's the owners that are scary
No matter if it's a chihuahua or a huskey, I thank if anyone can keep them away from me.
Yes I don't like dogs always barking and make a mess.
maybe
Tbh. My friend's dogs and my dog.
I'm gud wit.
But a dog i never encountered before, I'm out.
I don't know if they made that dog vicious or not.
Last couple months. 2 dog attacks happened.
1 woman had both arms and legs removed from the attack and will be on a breathing tube for life.
Another died.
You just don't know
Only chihuahuas haha
Only those small and loud ones, they annoy me and my instinct lures me to end their pitiful existence. But I don't want to become a dog killer.
Only afraid of muscular pitbulls or whatever it is that is damn big.
Other than that i’m also afraid of dogs who sniff my crotch
nope, I grew up around bunch of dogs... love them
Only if they are big dogs who aren't tamed.
Nope... the opposite, I have a dog and like them
Yeah, if I see a big one without a leash on it.
Only if the owner is scary!
I’m afraid of any dog
Big barking dogs yes 😂
Grew up with dogs. So no.
Not at all
I have a South African mastiff at my house right now, at one time I had four dogs.
They were bred to hunt lions, even though I live in the middle of town, this dog goes through my landscaping looking for lions
Only if I'm not familiar with them.
Only big scary ones
I am afraid of some dogs.
Nope unless the dog is angry dick who bites
Is a* angry dick
No I afraid of love...
