Do scrappy dogs scare you?

Been training dogs since the mid 90’s. Once had a doberman and a german shepherd going at each other.
I didn’t have a second person to do a “wheelbarrow” to get them apart, so I grabbed the nearest back end and slung it over my shoulder (still remember my vets expression when I casually told them that) and hung them while walking to a doorway and used the door as slow pressure breakaway between them.
Worked perfectly because their fight was with each other (one turned out to have a brain condition which was cause of fight, and reason they wouldn’t listen to stop. Both were heavily trained)

I was incredibly lucky in hindsight.
If I had to do that again though I would have done the same thing.

Scrappy dogs as in what dogs that fight? Or dogs that have a stereotype against them due to breed?

I’m not scared of dogs, I’ve broken up dog fights before probably not the right way but hey neither dog ever fought in my presence again. But I am cautious around dogs. Specifically those I don’t know. I don’t allow my own dog to interact with many dogs; because I don’t know their energy or temperament and I do know that my dog can be iffy.

Nope, dogs don't scare me. Generally dogs fucking love me. Every once in a while dogs are scared of me, but I win them over eventually… For example one of my neighbors had a well trained guard dog that will pretty much attack anyone that goes over the fence line, highly territorial. Within about a week of seeing it once or twice a day it is no longer a security dog. Whenever it sees me it comes running and wags its tail. He just got a new trained guard dog that is an energetic puppy. He barks at me for now, but if I go over to the fence line the older guard dog that knows me will growl at him and put him in his place because the older one doesn't want the puppy disrespecting me.

No they don't but it's a situation to be careful with. They will be in aggression mode and so not necessarily responsive to niceties... as an ex animal services officer I do have some useful tools, but honestly have been in these kinds of situation often enough to not be scared. Cautious... Respectful...

Actually, most dogs scare me. I've fought a fire on a ship, helped stop flooding, dealt with a typhoon, and raised two teenagers so far. None of that fazed me. Dogs? No.

When i was a kid a little scrappy dog jumped up on me and took a big chunk out of my belly. i still have the scar, I still am wary of them.
