Does my boyfriend's mother dislike me?

My boyfriend's mother got to know about me, I haven't met her but she knows about me. I came to know his mother told his aunt (mother's sister) about me and also a couple of relatives. And then the aunt asked for my picture from him. The aunt said she found me pretty. But the actual problem is, would a woman dislike the girl who her son is dating if she asks the relatives to ask for my picture? Sounds puzzling. Yeah, I asked him if his mother dislikes me or my kind? He said she doesn't have anything against my kind, but she doesn't like him dating me. I have a feeling he's lying to me on this part. Because I know his behavior when he lies. So I wanted to ask, if a woman dislikes her son's girlfriend, would she really tell the relatives and ask for my pictures through them?

  Is it a common female behavior to ask for her son's girlfriend's picture and go around telling the relatives about her son dating a girl from a lower status if she dislikes me? Isn't that asking for shaming. And there's more to the 'kinda word. We live in such a country where all races of people live but unfortunately there's this class hierarchy amongst the population and it sucks.
