They'd be being treated like 30% human at the most. Without the slaves, your family would be living paycheck to paycheck. No luxuries. With the slaves, your family would be living an upper middle class life.

For those of you who don't know the history in the US, Black people were only accounted as 60% human when they had the right to vote, and before that, they weren't counted as people.

My boyfriend (33) recently went on an international trip with his best friend (female). He said she asked him and it was long due. They booked two different rooms (as per him) and she even has a boyfriend. He came back and spoke to me and said “Please trust me, she is a very dear friend and person.” Things have been normal and but I kind of don’t trust because he didn’t share any pictures with her on Instagram (he generally does if someone tag him). I confronted him but he kept saying she is friend.
Once I said jokingly “oh come on, she is a beautiful blonde girl and you never had feelings?” On this he said, she wants family and at least 5/6 dates before sex which kind of surprised me. I feel that he may had feelings but let go of her.

He is a very nice guy and everything was perfect before his trip. This episode had destroyed my peace and I want to see their pictures. I have already confronted him many times and he keeps saying nothing happened. It’s not about sex but if he had feelings and lied to me and went with her. I don’t want to annoy him but just want to know the whole truth. Because what he is telling me is half truth.

Like... They didn't pick up on social cues sometimes and you could tell other people weren't understanding why your partner didn't understand what was being said or something...
I don't mean they're dumb just socially they're awkward.
