If you look at modern dating advice for men it’s like - you are not good enough and you need to build yourself financially/physically to be ‘good enough.’

Whereas for women: You are special, perfect and you deserve a man that is xyz

This is what people are absorbing on apps like instagram.

Men are being told we are not good enough and creating narcissistic women. This is a disaster? Girls look at social media and see this ‘soft life’ and this life where a women is just receiving flowers and being spoiled and just living an easy life. They think this is a realistic marriage etc..

In reality, our reproductive organs are located between our legs. Breasts are organs whose biological function is to produce milk. If the issue is simply what people find sexually attractive, Muslim men can also be aroused by a woman's hair. Likewise, if the focus is on physical sensitivity and pleasure, areas such as a woman's waist or neck can be just as sensitive.

Among some relatively isolated societies, such as tribes in the Amazon rainforest or the African savanna, women often do not cover their breasts. Does that mean breasts are not considered indecent there, or are not they viewed as sexually attractive? I don't know.

Europe and the Middle East are not as fundamentally different as many people assume. Agriculture first emerged in the Fertile Crescent, and over thousands of years populations expanded and migrated into Europe. Think about the borders of the Roman Empire, and remember the crucial role Italian maritime cities played in connecting the Muslim world with Catholic Europe.

China, on the other hand, developed much of its civilization independently—from agriculture to pottery and many other technologies. If you begin studying Chinese history, you encounter what almost feels like an alternative version of world history.

And I actually was in the service myself. I fail to understand what the point of putting something like this on your car/ truck is. It's almost like the parent is trying to fill a void, and somehow thinks that their son or daughter's life accomplishments are their accomplishments too. Why don't we just do away with bumper stickers altogether? They serve no purpose. You don't need to put your political views or any of your family's business on display to the public. Just keep it to yourself

I am personally disgusted by nail polish, especially when it's what people would call "put together" or "clean". For this reason, it has always been surprising to me that so many women wear nail polish. It also seems like more women are wearing it than ever in the past.

I have a few theories:

1. Some women like the look (I've seen many women with an obsession with "toe beans" on animals, so nail polish kind of resembles them when your nails are highly contrasted with your hands);

2. It is used by women to present themselves as "clean" which can sometimes (but not necessarily always) be them overcompensating for otherwise being seen as dirty.

3. Many women are in competition with each other so the women that would otherwise not wear nail polish are now wearing it as a result of peer-pressure. Perhaps older women also pressure younger women too.

4. There are men who like it.

If you wear nail polish, why do you do it (feel free to elaborate in your answer)? And where on Earth are the women who refuse to wear nail polish?

The debate over the DSA often gets reduced to policies people associate with Nordic or Scandinavian countries—healthcare, stronger unions, expanded social programs, and a larger welfare state.

But the Democratic Socialists of America are proposing much more than that.

Their current national program says the working class needs “a new political system.” It calls for abolishing the Electoral College, replacing the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress, and abolishing the Senate.

That is why I find it so troubling when people defend the economic policies they like while seemingly ignoring the far more sweeping changes the DSA wants to make to the structure of the federal government.

You can support those changes if that is honestly your position. I strongly oppose them. But they should at least be acknowledged and debated openly rather than treated like an insignificant footnote.

My question is whether support for the more appealing progressive policies causes too many people to overlook just how radical the DSA’s broader political agenda actually is.

This probably sounds like a silly question but the reason I ask is because I shave/wax my legs and fear it may be a turn off for my girlfriend.

Before you ask yes swimming is one of my hobbies I love swimming but that's not the only reason I shave. I just enjoy having really smooth legs. Not sure why I just do.

Whenever I meet a new girl I try to not let her see me in shorts right away even if it's super hot out and everyone else is in shorts. I usually wait till our relationship is more established.

So this past week I finally went to my girlfriend's house wearing shorts. If it matters they were mid-thigh length so a lot of bare leg for sure. Impossible for her to not notice my legs.

My girlfriend didn't seem to take note of how smooth my legs looked. She just greeted me and told me I look great in general.

Later on when laying on her couch we began to cuddle but fully clothed and she was also wearing short shorts and she shaves her legs too so it was smooth legs rubbing on smooth legs, both mine and hers... and she didn't once comment on it.

I was almost sure she'd comment on it but she just didn't.

I'm wondering if she noticed and ignored it, or if she didn't notice at all and just assumed my legs were naturally smooth.

Doesn't seem like it was a turn off for her either way but I'm curious.

I sent my ex flowers. I didn’t think it would work but it was my last gesture to try win her back. She left me. I didn’t do anything inherently wrong in the relationship.

I also don’t understand why she wouldn’t block me as we had broken up.

Specifically, which one is more likely to be spat at by a man passing by, or to face verbal or even physical harassment?

I don’t know the ins and out of this story. However I feel like many if not most women would leave their boyfriend for a top tier famous guy.
