MTG doubles down on weather modification conspiracy theory despite experts rubbishing ‘hurricane control’

The Republican from Georgia claimed last week that “they” can control the weather after Hurricane Helene killed more than two dozen people in her state and more than 230 across the US. While she did not clarify who “they” was at the time, Joe Biden said the idea the federal government controlled the weather was “beyond ridiculous”.

“Yes they can control the weather,” she wrote on X last week. “It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done.”

As stated. I’ve seen other comments here saying girls couldn’t date a previously married guy so young and I guess I’m just struggling to understand why. There’s no kids. No real baggage. No warning signs I ignored. All was well and she made a mistake I couldn’t forgive.

But I’m curious how women my age would view it, this wouldn’t stop me from giving all that love to another girl and I’m not willing to date older than myself so I’m curious how women view it.

At least 120K of Trump's $60 Bible's were made in China (for $3 each a 1900% mark up). That is a fact per Fox News. In addition, Oklahoma School Superintendent has mandated that Bibles be in every classroom; the crux is that the way the law was written only Trump Bibles seem to qualify.

Regular PACs: Trump's PAC $ can be transferred to other committees he controls, but there are restrictions. PACs like his "Save America" can transfer funds to other political committees, including those affiliated with Trump, as long as they comply with federal campaign finance laws. However, these transfers cannot be used for personal expenses or converted into campaign accounts for his own election efforts. Joint fundraising committees can also distribute funds to affiliated committees.

SUPER PACS: Trump-controlled super PACs have significantly more flexibility with leftover campaign funds. They can spend unlimited amounts to support candidates, including Trump himself, in future elections, provided there is no direct coordination with his campaign. Super PACs can also donate to other organizations aligned with their political causes or keep the funds for future political activities.

Trump can hold the money in his SUPER PACs indefinitely by stating his future intention to run for office. This allows him to keep raising and holding funds without using them for personal expenses.

Over the past year, Trump has been actively moving at least $20 million in funds between his PACs to his SUPER PACs. This transfer has raised concerns about potentially circumventing campaign finance laws, as super PACs cannot legally coordinate spending with his campaign.

Additionally, Trump's campaign & affiliated committees have spent significant amounts at his properties, funneling millions into his businesses. These financial maneuvers are under scrutiny by the FEC.

The reason given for this policy is that you don't want to take the kid out of the game in the first quarter by giving a zero and creating a 30-week discipline & attendance problem. The local Board of Ed policy is we teachers have to leave room for them to pass the class. The math generally works like this across most districts that I'm aware of:

WITH THE ACTUAL EARNED ZERO (NOT LIKELY - MY EXPERIENCE IS IT'S USUALLY IN THE '30S OR '40S BECAUSE OF CLASS WORK & ASSESSMENTS) The kid would need to get a MINIMUM 81 EACH quarter AND on the midterm & final just to pass with a 65%.

WITH THE UNEARNED 50%: Each quarter is worth 2/10 of your final grade and the midterm and final is worth 1/10 of your final grade so, if you crunch the numbers, it's 2 * 50 = 100 and then you need 8 * 68 = 552 for a total final grade of 65.2% which is a passing grade.

So here's the question: Do you give them the freebie grade of 50 and only ask them to achieve a 68% average for the rest of the year or so you demand better and measurable improvement and make them work for the MINIMUM 81 for the next 30 weeks?

BEFORE YOU ANSWER KNOW THIS:
1) I have never known a department chair person to say no to a teacher's discretion to change the grade to whatever the most "common good" is; that is to say if the kid doesn't get the minimum 81 to pass but has shown improvement up to say let's say in the low mid-70s or even high 60s, as long as that chairperson gets a heads up on WHAT you're doing it's absolute teacher discretion, the WHY is left to us (correctly I believe) to determine after 40 weeks of being with that student.
2) EVEY ASSIGNMENT IS ONLINE for parents to view 24/7

So what's it going to be? Mediocrity or merit? Freebies or no free lunches? What's the "common good" for the student, the teacher, the school, the parents, the college, future employers and the community and nation at large?

Though we may speak a common language, how we pronounce certain words may differ, based on where we were born, or where we now live.

This is especially true of the word CONTROVERSY.
