Derek Jeter (uniform #2) played Major League Baseball for 20 seasons (1995 to 2014)... all as the shortstop with the New York Yankees. Jeter played in 7 World Series, winning 5 of them. He was the 11th Yankees Captain from 2003 until his retirement.

I've had season tickets for the New York Yankees since 1998. I watched the majority of Jeter's career in person from the Right Field Bleachers, Section 37, Row GG, Seats 1 and 2 in the original Yankee Stadium until 2008, and from the Right Field Bleachers, Section 203, Row 16, Seats 22 and 23 in the new Yankee Stadium until his retirement. I was at every home playoff game and every home World Series game during this era.

My favorite player growing up was Don Mattingly. However I'd be crazy if I didn't recognize how Derek Jeter ranks just behind the Baseball Immortals that played for the New York Yankees (Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, and Mickey Mantle), and ranks with the next tier of Yankees greats (Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, and Mariano Rivera). Combining production and longevity, Derek Jeter is the best position player to wear the New York Yankees uniform in my lifetime.

Once again there is some debate as to how exactly the medal count should be measured.

You can’t be the greatest of all time (GOAT) if you leave your team during an Olympic Gold Medal competition. If she had mental issues she should have let other athletes join the Olympic team instead of her. She took up a valuable spot on the team, the coaches gave her time when it could have gone to others and then she withdrew leaving them.

She knew she had problems beforehand and yet put GOAT on her uniform and then choked and bailed. No GOAT would have done that! Putting GOAT on your uniform just sets you up for high pressure. It’s stupid.

I recently got into F1 after binging through Dříve to Survive in one weekend.

After that I started listening to a lot of team radio compilations, and that gave me some perspective on many of Lewis Hamilton's wins, especially the last win at Silverstone.

If you don't know already, just search "Valtteri, it's James" on YouTube and you'll be up to speed. It's almost a meme at this point...

At Silverstone, it was actually [Charles] Leclerc ahead of Bottas. but once Hamilton got P3, James [Allison, Merc CTO] came on Bottas' radio telling him to let Lewis past. And then Lewis "got in there" by overtaking Leclerc. This seems disingenuous and unfair, especially considering the incident with Max Verstappen before the restart, but let's not dwell on that.

But mentioning RBR, I've niether heard Christian Horner nor Adrian Newey on radio to their second driver telling them (Checo atm). I don't even know if I've heard Adrian on radio at all.

Let's see how [the MB-AMG crew] will treat George Russell next two seasons, which are speculated to be the last of LH's career.
