If you could take up one sport that you know you could enjoy, what would it be?

I’m assuming you mean a sport I never played previously. Not long ago, the answer would have been hockey, but I finally got into it last year before the pandemic, and I’ve been back at it a few months now. I love it, and I’m actually starting to get decent at it. I still suck when I play against all the guys (and girls) at public hockey who play high school, college, and occasionally even professional hockey (usually minor league, but NHL player Alex Biega was playing with us the other week), but in my adult instructional class I take once a week, I feel like I’m rapidly emerging as one of the best players there, and I’m starting to pull close to some of the guys who have previous experience playing. So that’s been very exciting and fulfilling for me👍
I guess I’ve always been intrigued by karate, or maybe another similar stand-up style martial art. I’m an 80s kid, so The Karate Kid was one of my favorite movies growing up, like almost
all of my male peers, and karate was hot in the streets. I never got to take karate lessons, but my parents signed me up for Kung fu lessons. I didn’t love it, mostly because it was Saturday mornings and I was missing cartoons lmao, but I also didn’t stick with it long enough to get into what I wanted to be learning. Basically, I wanted to learn to kick ass lmfao, and I did get to take the extra “fighting class” after the regular session, but I got kicked out of that after about a month because I gave a kid a bloody nose with what I guess was a frowned upon manner of punching, lmao, or I think they euphemized it to my dad as me being too strong and aggressive or something like that, haha. So I was pretty much checked out when they said I couldn’t fight anymore, and I didn’t go back after my paid month was up. I started with football the next year, and that ended up being my thing, all the way into my 30s. But yeah, I started thinking about karate or some martial art again. I don’t think I’d have the time now because I’m pouring myself into the hockey, but once I have myself comfortable with that, I could just casually play whenever, and get refocused on a new challenge. Probably too old to fight by then though, lmao, not that I’m not up for it, but I figure there are very few beginner-level adults out there looking for that kind of competition. Which reminds me of my biggest fear…having to be in a class of mostly kids. I hope they segregate it and have a separate class for them. Don’t want to be like that “Stingray” guy on Cobra Kai😂
Scuba diving, used to do it but got to busy with work and life, would love to take it up again. Once the equipment has been purchased its relatively cheap to do. Cost comes in doing trips to diving destinations rather than using close to home dive spots. but it's a wonderful sport, being underwater is like being in another world and its very good exercise. you see things most people will never see. It can be dangerous if you don't have the proper training but that training is fun and exciting. It's a good sport!
Tennis! I've always wanted to learn or at least try it. Heck I'd have fun hitting the ball back and forth!
But where I live, it's hard finding people that are active, much less have the stamina and endurance to chase a ball back and forth on a tennis court.
Badminton (already played it, but I miss it)
Martial arts (I would be open to most, I've already tried TaekwonDo and loved it - I miss that as well)
Dance could be awesome
Skating as well, it amazes me what people can do on the ice

Mixed martial arts, which I used to do, but only briefly, for like a year or so. There's almost no MMA gyms in Seoul. Most gyms are for Tae Kwon Do or for boxing and most of THEM are strictly only for kids. I did boxing here up until like, early July when COVID cases began to spike again, but I honestly don't enjoy boxing. It's just tiring and you don't feel like a bad-ass doing it.
No more team sports for me. I'm done with those. I'm into golf now and I'm loving it. However, I still swim, run & bike. I join triathlons every once in a while but I'd rather be golfing.
Football "soccer" 😍.
I say it feels so good kicking the ball to a mate successfully. or when you end up scoring. I usually play as a goalkeeper but I also like to play attacking. when I am goalkeeping I feel in charge of players' confidence because they want to feel losing is hard for the opponent, and this cannot be without a good goalkeeper. 😎
I currently enjoy swimming. I think I would enjoy golf. I enjoyed tennis, but haven't played in many years.
Tennis...
decent cardiovascular activity and was hella fun if you could ever launch the ball back and forth more than a couple times. Of course that was back in gym class and I suck at sports but that was what I had the most fun with.
It would definitely be tennis but I said no when people asked me if I wanted to play cause I don’t think I’m good enough for a competitive game.
Skateboarding. I'm all for the scene around skateboarding but I'm still that great at it... YET
softball
skate boarding
roller blading
running/jogging
basketball and soccer
that's it
but I don't mean cheer girl in soccer I mean a player
I like Bowling it's a sport and in America, we have teams at certain places
I like it I think it's cool, I don't care to win or not LOL
I have tried many... and I am very good at some, but not basketball because I did not try enough, so maybe I would pick it up again and really have fun at it
I used to play basketball and football I also studied the sweet science for several years..
Basketball I would play again..
Gymnastics, I think it would be like having a super power.
MMMA. My buds tell ME MY huge feet would like be dope for kicking and stomping dudes. Sounds fun to me.
I used to like softball. But then the amount of horror stories of fan hit by baseball. It's also why I now avoid cricket for the same foul ball fears.
I guess Lawn Bowl is my only sport. Or golf.
Track and field. I miss throwing shotput and discus. I had so much fun with my friends in highschool when i was on track.
Badminton, but not professionally. Why? I played it in secondary school with my friends and it was fun.
Definitely volleyball. Although I also like soccer a lot but I feel like volleyball with a team full of chemistry would be so much fun. Sadly enough I never could find a full team to play with as it's not very common to play volleyball where I live.
Football. I love playing as a defender but sometimes playing a midfielder is better
