Because then we would have lot less to lose and can spend more time and help our relatives and family members when they are in need.

I think the bottom line is that it all really comes down to how much you really desire to have a traditional family if you want to take the risks, which if you were someone that really wanted a family of your own and provide for them, then you'll take your chances no matter what, you'd be more of an optimistic person. I'm on the more pessimistic nihilistic type of mindset, no matter what we do, we're just trying to cope and endure the miseries and suffering that comes with life for as long it last for us, and then our time is up and we're gone forever and we'll be forgotten forever eventually.

And it greatly depends upon what your outlook on life is, and how you see and perceive the world is.
