Why Men Need Dogs

Dogs are great for guys because, let's face it, dog is mans best friend. You can't have one without the other, kind of like trying to have coffee without a coffee cup!

Here are some prime examples of why man needs his best friend...

• Loyal friendship


• Security


• Hunting


• Someone to cuddle when they can't be with their SO

A guy needs his space. It's nice to know he has a furry companion that is sure to have his back (and yours) when needed.

Whether it's a lap dog for the couch potato or an active dog that plays Frisbee and likes to swim, a man needs his trusty sidekick.

Dogs are great for high blood pressure too, studies show that spending time bonding with a pet reduces stress.

Dogs are great for only those who are knowledgeable of them. It pains me to see owners who have not dedicated enough research to their decision of a breed, to training, to stimulating the dog's mind, to health and general care.

No one "needs" a dog. But for those who "deserve" one - the dog deserves you, too.

Amen to that. You cannot keep a working breed cooped up in a house all day & not given stimulation , have encountered that before , the dog will then become bored & destructive. Future owners must do their homework first !

Dogs are incredible. I had a newfie who had to be put down back in January and I really miss him. I can't have pets where I live right now and I'm transitioning a lot in my life right now but once I do find some stability I'm absolutely going to get another large breed dog. Probably a golden retriever.
