There seem to be some confusion amongst my fellow men so let me sort it out for you.

When girls say they want a guy who treats them with respect they mean they want that one guy whom they have placed on a pedestal and consider to be superior to other men to treat her with respect. If you are not that man she will never respect you regardless of if you are nice, or an ass to her.

If you're an ass she might take notice of you, but as soon as she realized you just did it to get her attention and would actually like to be in a relationship with mutual respect she will use you or forget about you.

Back to the guy she wants. Even if he does not truly respect her, she will always see his actions as respectful because in her mind he can do no wrong so that becomes her reality.

This question is a waste of time, if she liked you, you wouldn't need to ask as everything you did would respect her in some way. If she doesn't like you, your actions are irrelevant and will never change anything. Only her opinion matters, and it's the opinion made in the first 30 seconds, the "spark"!

Most smart girls will ideally want the good guy. The only reason the jerks always win is because we like the challenge they present. We want to say we were the one to make him fall in love and hang up his player card. Kind of like how many guys will chase bitchy women and overlook the sweet girls.

Ultimately however, the excitement that comes with dating a bad boy eventually wears off. Unfortunately, some women have to experience a plague of frogs before they recognize a prince, assuming another fair young maiden hasn't snatched him up already lol.

Respectful, most defiantly. A random man once went out of his way to hold a door open for me, and I can tell you that if he had asked me for my number later I would of given it to him no problem ( which is extremely rare) Being respectful doesn't mean he is boring! i love guys who are playful, funny and spontaneous!

On the flip side if someone was rude, I would just leave, cab home whatever, I deserve so much more than that. Girls who have respect for themselves want someone who is respectful. Period.

i believe girls that get a lot of attention from guys all the time, can be more intrigued by a guy that negates their high self esteem a little bit. while that is not necessarily respect, some girls really do respond well to a sort of pseudo disrespect.

I agree in some aspects, I mean if the guys is kind of mysterious and the girl gets a lot of attention and there is that one guy then yes. But at the same time, if he was rude ect... it would be a total turn off. But meh it depends whether the girl is nice or not but I see what you mean :)

pedistal is not respect. people are placed on pedestals to be knocked down. and all the stuff i mention ed is how people are retreated on a pedestal. its not real and they are not trusted like human beings..

in training a lion. the trick is to put them on a pedestal so they feel like they are in charge. then when they are totally secure you knock them down. its a trick for animals. many men will pet and praise women then as soon as they don't get what they want or they are bored or they find as new shiny thing she's knocked down. or she's cling or emotional or annoying our a bitch.

if a person can not honestly respect me then were no good for each other. I'm not a thing to/ be handled. my feet are firmly planted... would;d be beneath my dignity to allow someone to 'put' me anywhere.

I'm with bDizzie. Girls don't know what they want. They will tell you they want a guy that treats them with respect... but look around at who the girls are with. 9 times out of 10 when you see a loser guy, doing stupid stuff and acting like an ass... yup he has a hot girl by his side. 9 times out of 10, look at the smart guy who respects a girl and would honestly love her, a guy not doing stupid stuff or being disrespectful... yup he usually is alone.

Respect is what I respond to. Don't be a pig and grab my boobs in public, or spit right in front of me at least turn away. Don't lie to me, or call me a bitch or whatever. My boyfriend calls me his delicate flower and is always respectful. :)
