He's a guy friend/texting buddy. We don't hang out much since he has a really complicated life. Yesterday we met up. I asked him if he considers me a friend. He sarcastically and playfully walked away from me saying he wasn't. Next thing you know he called me shorty and playfully lifted me up and carried me around. He showed off by saying he can only do it with one arm. Then asking me how much I weighed when he put me down.

Before we parted we hugged.
Me: I love ya blonde.
Him: Love you too shorty.
Me: Thanks for uhh being there for me and all.
Him: No problem.

I kinda have a crush on him but I don't want a kiss him or date or anything. It's mostly a brotherly thing you can say. I do not want anything more. But what do you think?

It's hard to say for certain. He definitely could like you as more than a friend. If he finds you physically attractive and enjoys your company, it could very well mean that he likes yiu. Also if you are one of a select few girls he talks to or hangs out with. If he acts that way with a bunch of girls, I'd say there's nothing but if you get special treatment compared to how he acts around other people, that would be another sign. Does he ever talk about having feelings for someone else, because if he was just a friend he might talk to you about who his crush is, unless you are his crush. Like I said there is no way I can say for sure but it definitely seems possible. Maybe just keep things the way they are and see if he ever makes a move and asks you out.

I dont know if he's anti social in general, but he lives a full complicated life so he's not that social anymore. Eye contact? Well its been a whie since we hung out so if he even if he was I wouldn't have noticed. Only paying attention to what he was saying... I'm sorry this is so complicated.

Do you think he finds you physically attractive? If he does and you're one of the few people he interacts with I'd say it's probable that he likes you. You could try to casually ask him if he's dating/interested in anyone. If he names a person other than you, then your safe but if he acts awkward or avoid's answering that might mean he likes you.

i guess because you're good friends you guys are comfortable with each other, you can act natural and touchy without it being flirty. I'm basing off my own experience with a close friend.

Picking someone up is a flirtatious move. From your description he's definitely flirting with you, but he may just be a flirty guy. I wouldn't read to much into this, although it does sound like he likes you, the conversation is really playful. He may or may not want more than friends, depends on the type of guy he is.. all you can do is wait and see.

I always go for girls that I have had that kind of relationship with. Because the best relationships are the ones you are best friends with.

If you put the friendship with the one you are with before you put the romance you will have a better relationship.

If you always go for the romance first, if or when it dies you will have no foundation. And that's why so many people end things or end thing badly. I'm friends with all of my exs because we were always friends first and foremost and we ended up being romantic.

Well it's hard to tell from just one occasion.

In another context, playfully picking a girl up could definitely be seen as flirting. Guys love any chance to have some physical contact. So the best way to go from here is to just continue as usual, see if he treats you differently or talks about certain things only with you, then decide later on what is it you want based on that.
