Do women think hoodies look ugly?

When I wear a hoody I notice I get less looks from girls, as opposed to when wearing a nice coat. Do hoodies make guys look younger and less mature?

Fashion is essentially creating a look using lines, colors, materials, accessories, and using the way an item of clothing drapes or fits to create a "look." The hoodie is the opposite of fashion. The hoodie is essentially the frumpy sweat top that goes with a pair of sweat pants. It is an unimaginative piece of clothing that unimaginative people throw on on their way out the door because they do not know what else to wear - it is essentially the Nickleback of outerwear. There are virtually thousands of choices in tops a person could wear from cardigans, to pea coats, to bombers, to moto jackets, to track jackets, to trench coats, to denim jackets - the list goes on and on. The hoodie is essentially the modern version of the B.U.M. equipment sweater. Simply placing an "Abercrombie" label across the front of a garish item of clothing does not make it fashionable. Looking good isn't about being "comfy," your boss and the rest of the world don't give a hoot if you are comfy - does anyone really expect the rest of the world to believe there is no other item of clothing that would keep you warm? Only people who are uncomfortable with their bodies, A-holes, mobsters, and suburban moms making their trip to wallmart on Sunday, trying to look like they just got done working out (LOL) wear performance wear as casual wear. Our grandparents wouldn't be caught dead wearing that crap out into town. I think civilization is going backwards.

Honestly..based on experience, my girl likes fitted clothing on a guy. same for my female friends, baggy clothes is a thing of the past. But if you live in the cold, I don't see why not. But you can never go wrong with a leather jacket or a wool coat. just make sure your hoodie is a zipper hoodie I guess.

OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST QUESTION EVER...lol I love hooodies! on men especially and myself, I don't know its just so simple, attractive, cumfy, and it makes a guy look cute, and charming...i love it! whenever I see my crush wearing a hoodie I wanna snuggle up to him and kiss his neck...

i can't really explain, but personally theyre just standard, have always been around, and I love it on any guy!

i don't think they make a guy look younger or anything, I mean definitely you should wear it appropriate for occasion, like if its a night out with friends, or a dinner, wear a nice button down shirt with jeans, or a vest and casual dress shirt, but in school, around the house, having lunch, at the park, on a casual date with your girl...hoodies are the best!

I'm already a young looking guy (I look about 16), and I'm 20 years old. So I feel that wearing a hoody makes me look young, which isn't something that women in their 20's want....

Hmmmn I guess what I shouldve said was that you have to alternate your dress code, don't need to follow one trend only...change it up! I love hoodies on guys, but not everyday or anything, that's why I said on occasion! lol...depends when you wear it and where, but yea try out new styles, see what you feel most confident in, and try it out, see if girls notice, fitted shirts are nice, I love jackets, whether its faux leather to sports jackets...jeans all the way for pants, and some nice sneakers =]

hoodies aren't that bad there cool but its more looked upon as a athletic wear or if its cold/raining outside...It depends on what statement you want like for ex. The guy I like is from ny but now he lives in the south so sometimes he comes to school wearing a hoodie or longsleave in 79 degree weather uh ok odd but now if its raining I don't mind him wearing that or if its getting cooler like it is right now.so it just depends.

I love hoodies on me and on guys. If a guy is cute, a hoodie won't make the guy seem unattractive to girls. I think hoodies make people appear more laid back and into comfort, which I like. And they keep you warm.
