We've been together for a year and a half. It got on the bed once I didn't make a big deal because it's nothing but after that she never slept in the bed on her period again.
I want to know why she won't?
how can I get her to just sleep in the bed?

The Law of Niddah – Separation in the Bedroom
Niddah is virtually unheard of outside the Orthodox community. The Law of Niddah relates to the separation of husband and wife when she is having her period and is generally practiced only by those living within the Orthodox community. Laws of ritual purity are described extensively in the Torah, but because non-Orthodox Jews rarely continue their religious education after bar mitzvah, the subject matter is not often discussed outside of the Orthodox community. The Niddah law is one of many laws relating to ritual impurity, but it is the only one still observed in the modern world.
Yep, she is just super embarrassed by it. This sort of stuff may take years for a couple to finally get comfortable with. Just keep reassuring her that you know it is simply part of nature, that you aren't grossed out by it, you have no ill-thoughts about it, you think no less of her because of it. Make sure you tell her you need her next to you, you miss her at night, you get a better sleep with her next to you. Period or not, you feel the same. Tell her if she is worried about a leak, that you know it happens and it is no big deal. Tell her no matter what happens that you love her and will always be at her side!
Weeeeeell, its because she was super embarrassed about it. Plus it comes with cramps, bloating and it sucks. Goes from light to heavy in a blink and can't be controlled. Plus it sometimes gots odor which also really sucks. It makes you super self-conscious, not only with your significant other but in public as well. Tell her that you want her to sleep in bed with you, and that what happened in the past doesn't bother you. Also see if she needs over night tamps and pads when she agrees so she won't have the monthly accident.
Ohhhhh I would love to sleep alone!
I can deal with sleeping together but your girlfriend has a brilliant idea sleeping alone for that one week.
I am horribly uncomfortable during that time and any little touch is extremely irritating and uncomfortable. And my guy loves to cuddle so you can imagine how much sleep I get during that time... None.
Your girlfriend has a wonderful idea and I am stealing it.
I think it has to do with comfort. During those days everything may feel uncomfortable starting from the panties, to the shower, or bed. I think she just wants her own space and be able to reach more comfort. When we are on our periods sometimes the pain is unbearable like when high get hit in your balls, that's so you can imagine the intensity and ugliness of the situation.
I think it would of been best if you had asked when it first happened. You have let so much time passed by. You need to talk to her, and make her feel good. Probably she has heavy periods, and doesn't want any accidents. Approach her on a respectful manner and make her feel comfortable.

tell her how it doesn't bother you at all. tell her that it never bothered you, and it's no big to you. Its just a little blood. She's just embarrassed. i would be too honestly. So all you need to do is reassure her that its totally okay, and a normal female body function that doesn't bother you.
pretty much what these ladies and gents are telling you. i used to leak in the night all the time when i was younger, so i always kept this old towel around to sleep on, and i still get a bit worried and embarrassed that some spillage happens. she's probably worried about it happening again. the best thing you can do is talk to her and ask her why she does it (as someone mentioned bellow about sleeping patterns), and reassure her about any insecurities.
I think she just doesn't want to make a mess again.
The only way to get her in there is to talk about it.
You can also get her this... weird mat thing that she can sleep on which was explicitly designed so that in case she ends up bleeding, it goes on that mat thing and not on the sheets. I have zero clue what it's called because it's my girlfriend who has one of them.
She's only feeling shy and embarrassed about what happened I would do the same thing. If you want her on the bed I would trying telling her just give it one more chance if it bleeds you can sleep in the spare room. I would would give it one more chance why wouldn't she.
She needs to wear better pads lol
Maybe she has accidents and she doesn't want to bother you with them.
I understand her but she needs to avoid these accidents, she can't live this way forever lol
@Azara needs to wear big ass pads
@Azara I know, it sucks cock, I hate it. But if he's your partner... Well you try, right
really heavy flow. although you could sit down with her and tell her you never minded, and you just let her sleep in the spare room since you thought she needed the privacy. but now you're too sick of it, to be happy with her doing that anymore.
Stop worrying! Periods are weird, they make girls do strange things. Don't take offence, just be supportive.
She may just prefer to sleep alone if she doesn't feel good. I always would sleep on the couch when I was sick when I had a boyfriend.
She is probably emberassed or she's scared you'll want anal sex with her lol
I never lived with a guy but I always manage to get blood on the sheets and I hate that. Plus I fart a lot on my period
Just tell her its natural and tampons are to keep blood in
Talk to her. She probably feels self conscious about it and doesn't want to gross you out.
I slept with my girlfriend on her period, but could not bring myself to have sex with her.
Give the girl her space.
